War On Terror: The party of John Murtha shamelessly seeks to defund and defeat U.S. troops on the battlefield and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Congress the terrorists wanted is doing their bidding.
There's a reason the founders of this country designated a single commander in chief and placed the responsibility to wage war in the hands of the president. We saw recently the futility of having 100 commanders in chief when the Senate tried to pass a resolution of disapproval of the war in Iraq and couldn't agree on the terms of our surrender.
Now it's the House of Representatives' turn, led by Rep. John Murtha, who believes the fine young men and women we send to defeat terror and our sworn enemies are cold-blooded killers. While the House works on its own nonbinding resolution, Murtha has bigger plans and considers such a resolution only a prelude to the real battle in March over appropriations for the war.
As chairman of the House panel that oversees military spending, Murtha plans to advance legislation next month attaching strings to the additional war funds Bush requested on Feb. 5.

Unfund Congress!!!!!!!!
Pay our income taxes to the DOD and tell the IRS we are "Paid in full"!
Yes, we may have to do more when Democrats
vote to dis-band our Military.
As long as the money don't get stuck in Jefferson's freezer.
Kudos to IBD for saying what needs said.
It really pains me to believe that a former Marine like Murtha could so easily give aid and comfort to enemies of the United States. It hurts me at a level that I cannot fully express. The quality of the brave men and women over there is so high, and the quality of the yellow bastards over here is so low... I just fail for words.
But we have to remember that Murtha has been in Washington now for over what... thirty years? He's totally lost touch with his brothers. Now he's trying to micromanage a war from the halls of congress. And only-- ONLY-- for partisan political gain.
I can think of nothing more contemptable.
Not much that makes me laugh these days but, by God, you did it!
Very well said, Ramius. This is his 33rd year in Congress, way too long.
I would like to see President Bush ask the DOJ to look into just what remarks and deeds could/would constitute treason. That might just put the fear of God in these arses.
Ah, but those polled are probably capitalists, not socialists. The Democratic party has been given a mandate by the socialists.
We could vote to fund the war with murtha's earmarks.
This is why all these congress rodents suck!!!
So many of these congress crooks have been on the take for so long that they have no concept of what it is like to believe in America, they are the most corrupt bastards on earth. They only do this crap to collect campaign funds which when they retire they can transfer "tax-free" into a 501c3 tax exempt organization which they set up and control for life. Bob Dole had about $47 million in campaign funds when he quit Congress and Gray Davis (our outsted California governor) supposedly had over $100 million in campaign funds when he left office. None of this is taxable until they remove it in the form of salaries, but then their expenses paid by these non-profits are non-taxable. GET THE PICTURE why Dennis Kucinich would claim to be running so that he can collect a hoarde of cash as a campaign fund...WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!
Cicero once said that the enemy within is far more dangerous than the enemy at the gates..Murtha, Pelosi, Reid. etc, etc, etc Unless we defeat the enemy within, we don't have a chance to defeat the enemy at the gates...
Jeez... dude... take a breath or something.
You're correct about the basic ugliness of the system, but It is probably only fair to point out that the system you're complaining about is, in most cases, *entirely* legal.
Let yourself go. I've been hating them for over 40 years. It's fun, it's therapeutic, and it just feels so right!
I didn't know that Murtha was French.
Agreed. It is sickening that these people can learn from history, and they are seeking to repeat what they did in Vietnam. I accept no innocent explanations from them. Vietnam is still fresh in our memory. If they loved this country and our soldiers as much as they profess, they would not make such an effort to repeat it.
We can only pray that the VN vets who rose up and voted against jon carry will remember what these lice are doing now and never vote D again.
I have only to listen them speak to rekindle that hatred.
Their hatred of our beloved country is enough to earn them a place in hell, IMO.
I well remember slick willie saying...and that's another thing wrong with this country.
Oh, really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I count my blessings that I was born here and never forget for a moment that this is the country of hope for the entire world.
