The DemocRATS better hurry up and try to make a defeat certain before it is too late. Vote, Vote and vote some more--you are going to label yourselves as inadequate to face the demands of foreign policy. Also, we will have the chance to vote to make certain you do not direct foreign policy.

Lost in the discussion of the "surge" were adjustments to the Rules of Engagement. The word has obviously reached Iraq that we're tired of playing nice. Mookie got the message, and hightailed it to Iran.
The Iraqi politicians also got the message "it's our way or the highway". They see the window of opportunity is closing fast.
My concern is what happens when Mookie and his partners in crime decide it's time to return to Iraq. Will they be welcomed with open arms, or with a noose?

Iraq PM tells Bush of 'dazzling successes' in BaghdadWhich is why the democrats want the Republicans to sign the Surrender Resolution NOW - before they see the success in Iraq and jump the democrats sinking ship.
To: shrinkermd
He told President Bush that the security plan had seen dazzling success during its first days and that the government will deal with every outlaw in a firm manner whatever group they belong toSomehow when I hear this, the image of Baghdad Bob comes into mind... Who does this guy (OK, this culture) think it is fooling? Give it some time, it will have the desired results...

"He said the sheikhs of the tribes in Anbar Province play a very important role in the hunt for Al-Qaeda and that the government will supply all kinds of support to these tribes and start reconstruction efforts," his office said. This is a source for a key talking point:
Iraqi sheikhs risk their lives when they help us. Would they do that if so willingly if they were expecting us to leave?
I saw one Iraqi sheikh in Anbar pay his respects for a fallen American soldier, an infidel. Such a display of respect is huge. Such courage is beyond Democrat comprehension, so they crap on it. These cowards make me puke.

On it's path to victory, this enemy is simply following the example of North Vietnam and the TET offensive. The U.S. defeated the enemy in the TET offensive and Congress handed the enemy a victory in the war itself. Smart move on the enemy's part - it is playing out perfectly for them.

The fact that we have run into so little resistance so far makes me very suspicious. It may be that the terrorists are just laying low until this blows over and the extra troops are pulled back out.

I was going to say much the same thing. Time is running out for the Democrats, al Qaeda in Iraq, and al Sadr formerly in Iraq. We can expect the Democrats to become more and more shrill as the elected Iraqi government and Coalition Forces destroy the enemy in Iraq. Not since the US overthrew the Left's beloved Saddam, have they been more fatuous and quixotic in their support for nihilistic mass murderers. They'll need to move on to protecting the president of Iran soon.
