I suspect many of these "Rudy NEVER" people really just support other candidates for the nomination and are stirring the pot.

I do hope you are right.

What I am hearing on FR is what I couldn't believe would happen in 2006. They stayed home and let the Dims take over the Senate and the House. Am beginning to believe that many will stay home in 2008, if they don't get their way, and let the Dims take the Presidency too. At this point in time I am not sure who will be my choice of candidates in the primary election. Will make that decision somewhere along the line. I will not ask anyone to support my choice. Nor, will I ask anyone to sell out their beliefs. My religious beliefs and my political convictions are as strongly conservative as anyone's and I have held them for many more years than some on FR have been alive. All I am purposing to everyone is to work for their candidate of choice in the primary and then get behind the candidate that is chosen by the primary voters. Many seem to be unwilling to accept that and will only be satisfied and committed to voting if they get their way. Hopefully the majority of them will get the candidate they want. I may not get my choice but will support the Republican candidate that is chosen.

Anyone on FR that is unwilling to support the Republican candidate for President in 2008 and feel that they just can't go vote I ask this of you. At least start a prayer group. Because if Hillary is allowed to take over the Presidency, this country and all of us are going to need all the prayers we can get. I'm not being sarcastic. I am dead serious.

Amazing how some people flip off the owner of the website with rhetorical diatribes.

One of the definitions of diatribe is "to wear away, spend, or waste [his] time".

I hate having to add this, but I'm afraid I will now be called an abortionist.

I am pro-life. Five or so years ago I was pro-life, 'with exceptions'. My exceptions were the socially acceptable rape & incest exceptions.

Thankfully, a pro-life friend gently prodded me to where I stand now: A life is a life no matter how it was conceived.

I sincerely want fewer abortions to take place.

If the RNC had a modicum of brains, guts, and creativity,.....

The RNC is not going to pick the Republican candidate for President. Best I can remember peons like me get to vote in the primary election.

"Ronald Reagan had name recognition, great conservative credentials, an incredible ability to comunicate and touch people, charisma and huge stones."

If we put up a charismatic, principled, confident, articulate, American loving patriot with great conservative credentials as the nominee for President of the United States from the great Republican party of Reagan and Lincoln I guarantee you that he will have instant name recognition throughout the nation and throughout the world.

"Unfortunately, men like that may come once in a lifetime, or even less."

Oh ye of little faith. Men like this come in every battle, every war, every crisis, from nearly any walk of life. It's the way of great nations, great men and great heroes.

"Between them, we find the most electable."

Most electable gave us Dole....

"The fact that a quarterback can't match up to a Dan Marino or a Joe Montana doesn't mean that he can't win games."

Great heroes happen in sports as well.

Keep the faith.

LOL.

Now, now. You're asking serious questions and apparently that is frowned upon :-)

Seriously, the feds aren't going to stop abortion. I seriously doubt even another conservative Judge or two on the Supreme Court will stop abortion. Didn't Justice Roberts himself say that it's established law at this point?

The states have had the most success thus far, but some people just don't want to let the facts get in the way of their agenda.

PBA really bothers me. It's infanticide and the life of the mother/woman stuff doesn't pass the smell test.

Cesarean Sections save both lives in almost all situations.

Okay, what have we got...
Charismatic: No Hunter, Keyes on fire & brimstone
Principled: Hunter, no Keyes (too much fraud-like issues)
Confident: maybe Hunter, Keyes too conceited
Articulate: Keyes, too preachy for a leader

The left will have a field day, but, hey! At least Hunter or Keyes won't be a loser like Bob Dole!

Oh, wait.

LOL.

They're waiting for that perfect conservative who will never arrive.

Reagan himself couldn't be elected in today's climate. Divorced, married a preganant Nancy. Signed gun control legislation a couple of times. Gave us amnesty. Gave us two pro abort Judges. Raised taxes 4 times as president.

He was great, but he wasn't perfect. Today everyone wants perfect.

>>>>But when you post silly things like I'm not a conservative..

I've been telling you that for quite some time. You don't believe me, you don't believe Jim, you don't believe anyone. You RINO`s have been knocking down FR one peg at a time, for YEARS! I agree with Jim.

Sorry, I'm a conservative and will not be looking the other way. The Republican party is pro life and pro liberty and I intend to do all within my ability to keep it that way. A socially liberal abortionist gay rights supporting gun grabber cannot be the standard bearer for a conservative party. Conservatives understand why.

If you put up a liberal vs a liberal, you've already lost the 40 year fight against liberalism. The pendulum swings no more.

I believe there is never any reason for a PBA. No matter what the circumstances are, the child should be delivered. At that point, we should all be in agreement that the mother's physical health is not compromised at all by allowing that child to proceed through the birth canal.

I am disgusted, though, at what I have read here about Rudy Giuliani, calling him an abortionist.

Well, if it isn't Mister Kiss Up, perfect and true conservative, erroenously calling Peach a RINO.

That stuff gets old and tiresome, but you always stoop to it.

A lot of men (ahem, I'm using the term loosely) have issues with women. They can't debate in the arena of ideas so they just get a little hysterical and make silly statements like that.

There are so many kinds of conservatives, but if one isn't THEIR kind of conservative, then one is a RINO. It's all they've got.

Jim, can you answer 4 questions?

If Alan Keyes won the 2000 election, would he:

1) have stopped abortion immediately

2) made abortion illegal

3) nominated SC judges & had them seated on the court

4) have won a 2nd term
