That's the funniest thing I've read all week.
The solution is to say we cannot control climate, although sometimes we can make it rain by cloud seeding, but sometimes that causes flooding.
Should we be shipping water into space to cool the sun, rudy? (small r on purpose, no respect left for this man)
Algore should propose a way to get rid of WATER VAPOR, since
it's the most effective greenhouse gas (let's label it a

Rudy has a good, common sense position. He said he's no scientist, that it isn't known how much og global warming is from natuer or us, that Gore's movie just frightened people without offering any solutions. Rudy also made the importnat connection that reducing pollution overall is a good thing and technology and innovation will help a lot. It was all common sense without alarmism. It also shows Rudy has an open mind on it and isn't going to follow any global warming dogma blindly.
A question to my FReeper FRiends as I dislike downloading video's, therefore have not...Is Giuliani in essence stating to Gore (and the GW advocates in general) "Prove it?", or is he really saying we need seriously address the existance of GW?
I will have to be carried into the polling place kicking and shouting with barf bag in hand to vote for Rudy Giuliani if he actually becomes the only Red choice, but will do so if my vote will prevent Hillary from becoming POTUS.
If, in order to win in 2008, we have to run left of Gore, then I will write in Duke the dog from the bean commercials.

Once again, the extent, if any, to which global warming is caused by man is a SCIENTIFIC question. It has a scientific, factual answer, but the current state of science does not permit us to know it with any certainty.
Regardless, since it is a SCIENTIFIC issue, there should not be pressure on scientists from EITHER SIDE to adopt a certain position. It is wrong when liberals try to bully scientists into saying that it is caused by man, and it is wrong when conservatives try to bull scientists into saying that it is not.
Science and politics should be kept separate. I'd also note that there's an almost hysterical need on the part of some people to be seen as being part of their political team on this issue. I approach science as science- I have not yet made up my mind on global warming, but it bothers me to see people on our side engaging in the same pressure tactics that the liberals use. Show a little maturity and intellectual honesty.
If beginning today we instituted a catastrophic pull back in all modern human activities and began a massive crash program of building nuclear reactors to stop human contributions of CO2 into the atmosphere, the impact on "global warming" (or global cooling) could barely be measured at all.
Don't be fooled - Follow the money.

He does believe in global warming - but he's not sure it's ALL man-made. That's like having your cake & eating it too! That's like trying pot - but not inhaling!
I read the other day - that while glaciers may be shrinking in the Arctic - they are actually growing in Antarctica. Not only that, even the planet MARS is experiencing global warming - Mars' ice caps are getting smaller too!

Giuliani's response on this was intelligent and he clearly did not blindly accept the liberal version of global warming as 100% man made.
The solution is nuclear plants - standardized plants like those in France. (Blind Pigs finding truffles once in a while)

You can't solve a problem that doesn't exist.
Al Gore couldn't offer a solution to global warming because it doesn't exist, just like global warming itself.
This is a socialism issue, nothing else.
