On the Tuesday edition of "Good Morning America," Diane Sawyer, on the last leg of her Dictator 07 tour, asked Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad her silliest questions yet. Sawyer mused about Iranian environmental problems and also wondered how often the Holocaust-denying leader cries. The ABC program featured several segments with the President of Iran. After a piece where she only lightly pressed Ahmadinejad on his calls for the destruction of Israel, the GMA anchor asked if Irans President, who is seeking a nuclear bomb, is "sentimental and sympathetic" This question allowed for America to see a softer side of the unpredictable leader:
Diane Sawyer: "Well, in a minute we're going to talk and I'm going to get the questions you have from e-mails. But a number of people have already said is there anything surprising, personal about President Ahmadinejad that we didn't know? Well, it turns out, someone told me he cries a lot. That he is dramatically sentimental and sympathetic if someone comes up and expresses a personal plight. So I just asked him, are you often in tears?"
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: "Yes, that's true. Not only for Iranians, of course, they are very close to me and I love all Iranians. And anywhere, when I see people suffering, I have the same reaction. And we feel sad for people of Iraq, for the people of Palestine. Anywhere we have war, we feel sad. Even when I see on TV that, for example, some Americans, because of tornadoes or a hurricane, they have lost their homes, I become sad. Because, for us, human beings are respectable, no matter where they are. Human beings are respectable and they have their own dignity. And all of us should help so that people can lead better lives, to live at peace.

Just. Damn.
This is what passes as a hard hitting interview these days?! Yeah, makes ya wanna cry.
I'd be very surprised if Diane Sawyer can even spell 'embarrassment'...
You've got to be kidding.
What a friggin' idiot that b*tch is!!! It's simply disgusting to me that the media sluts are willing to drag their camera crews anywhere in the world where they think they can do the most damage to this country and then broadcast their propoganda over American airwaves.
Sawyer makes me gag. She is the most nauseating media liberal I've seen yet. And the SOB wouldn't even shake her hand cause, in his eyes she's just a filthy female....not even on a par with '2nd class citizen'.
Ridiculous people.........
When the fit hits the shan and you wake up to a six-figure death toll somewhere with this monster's signature on it, remember this interview.
The American media has been a willing accomplice to everything that is to come.
There she is all covered like a good woman should be in Iran. Wouldn't want to get STONED TO DEATH or anything for violating Sharia.
She forgot to ask other vital questions like "When your housekeepers change the brand of soap for your clothing, do you itch for a few days?", "Boxers or briefs?", and "Do you enjoy football on Sunday afternoons?"

The pathetic face of journalism today.

Fifth column? Who? Me?
Good old Diane slept her way to the top by sleeping AT the top (William S. Paley) - she's well familiar with kissing up at the highest levels, even if the interview subject is this pencilneck in his ill-fitting suit who can't even grow a proper beard.
It's as if we're getting serious international news coverage from "Entertainiment Tonight"...
