7,000 Iraqi Refugees To Be Permitted Into U.S.

The Bush administration is planning to allow about 7,000 Iraqi refugees into the country over the next year, compared with 463 Iraqis who have been allowed to enter the U.S. since the war began, the State Department is announcing.

The United States has been working with international organizations to aid Iraqi refugees who have been resettling in neighboring countries of Jordan and Syria. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees is asking for $60 million in aid from nations around the world. The U.S. will pledge $18 million in new funding.

Thousands of translators, aides to Americans and others fleeing religious persecution and violent reprisal have been seeking escape from Iraq since the sectarian violence picked up a year ago.

Last week, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice announced a new task force to coordinate assistance for refugee assistance to be spearheaded by Undersecretary of State Paula Dobriansky.

In fiscal year 2005, the United States made available 70,000 slots for refugees worldwide; 53,000 of those slots were filled, but only 202 Iraqis were allowed into the United States. Another 50 Iraqis and Afghans were admitted through a limited Pentagon program for translators who have worked with U.S military.

It would be a financial strain, but in terms of a threat, it would probably be much lower than 7,000 American thugs moving here.

No, they're not Nation of Islam people. Those guys actually make me feel pretty safe when I have to drive through NE DC. They wear suits and ties and are very polite and gentlemanly. The ones they're always arresting around here do things like set up military training programs and go to Pakistan to learn how to kill Americans, counterfeit papers to bring in their accomplices and commit fraud so they can send the proceeds to Hamas, and stuff like that. They also appear to have a tendency to kill their women on the slightest "provocation."

Are you an overpopulationist? The United States can support a population much larger than 300 million, in any case.

And all 70,000 of them, which actually would turn out to be something along the lines of 150-175,000 or more because of our chain migration immigration laws, are instantly eligible for welfare, food stamps, public housing, free health care, services in their native language and the rest of the American entitlement package, including the right to bring in all of their elderly relatives and sign them up for SSI on our dime. They should stay home and make their own country a place where decent people can live and prosper. Instead they will be bringing the habits of a culture that screwed up their country in the first place, to help screw up ours. Also, if anyone believes they will limit the number to 70,000 they haven't been paying attention.

Another disgusting thing about the most recent murders by muzzies in the US is that the MSM refuses to "profile" such killers by their religion, even if they had that info in hand.
