There is a common perception that religion has everything to do with it. Same as with the black vote that race has everything to do with it.
Bloc votes are associated in these two cases with race and religion.
In the case of the black vote the common perception is that most blacks hate whites. In the case of the bloc Jewish vote the common perception is that there is some kind of problem with white Christian republicans.
Liberal politicians, liberal teachers, liberal unions, have vilified everything republican, (white, heterosexual, gun-owning, corporation controlled, oppressors of the poor, oppressors of Jews, dirtiers of the environment, promoters of white racial superiority, protectors of the kkk, harming innocent muslims in Iraq, etc. etc. etc.)
The common perception is that these bloc votes have become over time very biased against whites and Christians.
Common perception is a term that I define: Perception means that a person critically analyzes and debunks the propaganda that daily appears in MSM, is talked about by liberal pastors and priests, is forced on kids by liberal teachers, and is forced on an increasingly subjugated population by armed police who enforce the edicts of the ACLU.
Damn good point
Yes and no. I live in the far NYC suburbs and work in a profession that has a large percentage of Jews, and nearly all of the Jews that I know are left of center to some degree. The most radical self-hating Jews seem to be public school teachers and of course, college professors.
I believe that Jews tend to be liberal for several reasons: First, many of the Jews who were fortunate enough to escape Europe during the days leading up to World War II were socialists, commies, and the so-called intellectuals. Many settled in the NYC area and became active members of the Socialist Wokers Party, Communist Party, and labor unions. Their children and grandchildren grew-up with other leftists, and as they achieved success, they pursued careers in professions dominated by leftists such as academia, teaching, journalism, and entertainment. Many Jews are leftists because that's all they have ever known.
Second, during the 1920's through the 1950's, white-shoe Amercia was extremely anti-Semetic, and as a result, many Jews connected with the civil rights movement that began with Brown vs the Topeka Board of Education, and as we all know, the Civil Rights Movement was infiltrated and hijacked by commies, socialists, and leftist freakazoids.
And why is that the case?
In 2000, the total population of the U.S. was 281,421,906, the urban population was 222,360,539 (79.01%), and the rural population of the U.S. was 59,061,367 (20.99%)
That demographic fact spoils many FRObsessions.
Exactly....
Voting for Dummies is more of a familial custom thing handed down from generation to generation. It occurs in all ethnic groups, as the overwhelming majority of American voters (approx. 80%) support the party they "grew up in". It takes intelligence and courage to break away from the herd.
Religion has a lot to do with it. Most Jews are not religious;many are part of the Enlightenment aganda, which is to confine relgion to the private shere and to regulate it, or eliminate it even there.
Let's take West Virginia, hardly an urban state (the largest city has about 65,000 people. Most of the Jewish people I socialize with support DemocRATs at the national level.
Now, if you are familiar with WV politics, you know that at the state level, the GOP is pretty weak, so that there are a lot of DINO DemocRATs who would be Republicans nearly anywhere else. Thus, it's not too surprising that most Jews support RAT candidates at the state and local level, since in many instances, there is no viable alternative. However, to my dismay but predictably, Jewish voters tend NOT to support these DINO's, but rather support the leftie RAT's in the primaries.
