New York, Feb 13 -
In a sign of continuing momentum, the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee today announced Congressman David Dreier, Chairman of the California Republican Congressional Delegation and House Rules Committee Ranking Republican, has announced his support for Mayor Rudy Giuliani to be the next President of the United States. Dreiers endorsement follows the rousing reception Mayor Giuliani received at the California State Republican Convention and his successful swing through the state. Dreier will help lead Mayor Giulianis exploratory committee efforts in California.
Congressman Dreier said, America needs the proven leadership of Rudy Giuliani to tackle the difficult challenges our country is facing. Not only does Mayor Giuliani have a record of results, he has a positive, optimistic vision that can unite our Party and our country for the greater good.
I am proud to be supporting Mayor Rudy Giuliani for President and am looking forward to helping the exploratory committees efforts in any way I can, concluded Dreier.
Mayor Rudy Giuliani welcomed the support from Congressmen Dreier. Im excited to have a Republican leader like Congressman Dreier on our team. This endorsement comes on the heels of Congressman Pete Sessions and former Congresswoman Susan Molinari joining Team Rudy, as well as the previously announced support of California Congressman Devin Nunes and Congresswoman Mary Bono. More California endorsements will be announced later in the week.

SPAM begets SPAM and flame wars beget flame wars. Odd how some posters miss that blatantly obvious consequence, when I know they all understand the meaning of "payback's a b!tch."

""See, I don't equate abortion with murdering a child, which I guess puts me in conflict with the teaching of the Catholic church. Catholics in public office often make the mistake, a subtle but important one, of saying they agree with the teaching of the church, but because I'm in public office, I have to put conscience aside and enforce the law. They haven't thought out the implication of what they're saying. If you agree with the church, there's no difference between murdering a one year old and eliminating a fetus -- it's the same act. There is a moral consequence to the elimination of the fetus, but it's not the same thing as murder"

Rudy Giuliani:
1)Supported two outstanding liberal Democrats - Jim FLorio of New Jersey and Mario Cuomo of New York when they ran for governor and he was "Republican" mayor of New York..
2) Rudy was a friend of Bil Clinton's and traveled around the U.S. to help Bill sell his "anti-crime" bill.
3) Rudy is now and always has been, an opponent of the Second Amendment, and, while mayor of New York, joined in a joint lawsuit against legitimate gun manufacturers.
4) Rudy has always been a proponent of abortion on demand - he just changed his tune when he got Presidential fever.
5) Rudy opposed any efforts to cooperate with INS when he was mayor of New York and is NOT a strong opponent of illegal invaders - quite the contrary - he will continue Bush's policies with Mexico.
6) Rudy has always been a proponent of "gay" rights.
7) Rudy was married and divorced twice and is on his third wife.
8) Prior to 9-1-1 Rudy's arrogance and egotism made him one of the most hated mayors in New York since Peter Stuyvesant.
All of the above make him unfit to be a candidate for President. Further, the left-wing media is WELL AWARE of Rudy's record.
With all the candidates running out there, its very possible his flaws will be eclipsed by his 9-1-1 fame and he will get the nomination. Should that happen, the very same media who ostensibly love him so much will turn on him, make his record public if the Dems don't and he will loose the Red States big time. He can't beat the Dems on their own turf in enough Blue States to compensate for the loss of his base. Hillery will become President.
Think about it.
Duncan Hunter or Newt Gingrich are our best chances to keep the White House, not Rudy, Mit or McCain. I am not "trashing" a Republican candidate. I am mentioning some very serious flaws in his background. He would make a far better Democrat than a Republican. Next to him, Liebermann looks like a conservative.

Link? They don't need no stinkin' link and they can say ANYTHING they so desire; with impunity.
Coming from someone who will not back up a single claim with a link, that's truely pathetic. Blackbird.

You cannot point to a single post by me saying one should not be pushing their own candidates. It is far preferable to me that there be some credible candidate to Guliani's Right. Nor can you point to any real criticism of Hunter by me only doubts as to his viability.
In fact, I have even stated I could wind up voting FOR him in the Illinois primary under certain conditions.
This is in sharp contrast to most of the comments of the Rudyphobic.

Come on those pictures merely annoy. If anything they are FAR too antiseptic to demonstrate the real procedure. They don't even come close to showing the real horror.
Childishly posting them over and over does nothing but gratify those posting them. This is getting silly.

Childishly posting them over and over does nothing but gratify those posting them.I disagree. I think it's important to remind people exactly what is at stake here. Some are claiming the president has no role in fighting abortion. Clinton vetoed a ban twice. Bush signed it. Shows right there that a pro-life president is important. And that doesn't even get into the importance of the bully pulpit for changing people's views on abortion - and the populace is slowing shifting away from supporting it.

"I think it's important to remind people exactly what is at stake here." These cartoons don't show that. In order to truly show it one would have to post a real PBA with blood gushing out of the insertion.
Rudy supports the bill Bush signed. He would have signed it too.
It is disingeneous to claim he supports PBA when the qualification "except danger to the mother" means that is would be rarely allowed if ever. You know very well that the Courts would not allow a ban to stand which did not have that language within it.
