Join Rudy 2008 ^ | Feb 13th, 2007 | Press Release

New York, Feb 13 -

In a sign of continuing momentum, the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee today announced Congressman David Dreier, Chairman of the California Republican Congressional Delegation and House Rules Committee Ranking Republican, has announced his support for Mayor Rudy Giuliani to be the next President of the United States. Dreier’s endorsement follows the rousing reception Mayor Giuliani received at the California State Republican Convention and his successful swing through the state. Dreier will help lead Mayor Giuliani’s exploratory committee efforts in California.

Congressman Dreier said, “America needs the proven leadership of Rudy Giuliani to tackle the difficult challenges our country is facing. Not only does Mayor Giuliani have a record of results, he has a positive, optimistic vision that can unite our Party and our country for the greater good.

“I am proud to be supporting Mayor Rudy Giuliani for President and am looking forward to helping the exploratory committee’s efforts in any way I can,” concluded Dreier.

Mayor Rudy Giuliani welcomed the support from Congressmen Dreier. “I’m excited to have a Republican leader like Congressman Dreier on our team.” This endorsement comes on the heels of Congressman Pete Sessions and former Congresswoman Susan Molinari joining Team Rudy, as well as the previously announced support of California Congressman Devin Nunes and Congresswoman Mary Bono. More California endorsements will be announced later in the week.

Please don't be afraid. LOL. But you are in the drivers seat right now, so might not be worth the anxiety. When Hunter closes the gap, the decibel level will get louder, then it might be worth slugging it out.

Well I am on the Hunter ping list. LOL! The only thing I've posted on a Hunter thread was "Good luck" for Duncan when he said he was running. Maybe I'll check them out.

Mr. Mojo posted a link to a thread from August 2000 on Sunday on here and it was a real eye opener to say the least. I had forgotten about some of the nastiness.

It's open season on Rudy and all of his supporters, the numbers of which grow daily here, but try to say something factual about Hunter and you get banned.

We are not supposed to go on the Hunter threads or we risk banning

Oh, bullsh**. AmeriBrit was nuked because she spread a completely bogus claim that Hunter was under criminal investigation.

And you wallowed in that stye yourself, and refused to recant when the allegations were proven to be completely bogus.

I will keep posting to you as long as you slander FR over being claims of people being banned just for supporting Rudy. You have descended to new lows with your completely unprincipled posts ever since you went over to Rudy.

Why come on the Hunter threads and get banned if you have information that is not 100% for Hunter?

the theory goes that Hunter has no chance of breaking out of the bottom tier. I've already convinced a couple dozen folks, or more precisely, Hunter's words and deeds, have convinced them to give to Hunter.

It has to happen from the bottom up for him, since the corporate $$ is going to the big 3. But I can tell you the NRA and the Gun Owners of America and many of the pro-life groups will jump at the chance to throw their weeight behind Hunter if he shows some movement.

My goal on FR is to flip people to Hunter. Hopefully being polite about it, but I've had a few tussles with some turds already. LOL

We are afraid to no one said we couldn't.

Here's a hint. Please come to Hunter threads.

Discuss his difficulties in overcoming a lack of name recognition. That is a fair point.

Discuss the campaign contributions he got from the defense contractor who was just indicted. That is a fair point.

Discuss his trying to create new Congressional powers by seeking a Congressional pardon for the two BP agents. That is a fair point.

However, if you slime Hunter with bogus allegations of criminality, especially when you spew that crap for weeks without backing it up, that will cause a problem.

So cut the persecution nonsense. All Rudy boosters have to do is follow the forum guidelines. I realize that many of them are not used to that concept, but that is the case.

I keep getting posted with the Admin Moderator said about posting on the threads to a poster they banned so I finally told two Freepers that I will never post on them again because I don't want to get banned. I am staying off all the other candidate threads even if I have info that isn't complimentary -- let someone else find and post it. I value posting privileges, and a lot of us are getting tired of getting pinged where they are baiting us on threads not discussing but trying to push buttons.

After I had someone take my words and turn them around to say something I didn't say, I don't want anything to do with some of these posters and won't answer their pings which I told them.

I will go on military threads and some others and the only candidate will be Rudy.

By supporting Giuliani

Congressman David Dreier Announces Support for Partial Birth Abortion

TUCHMAN: Giuliani was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions, something Bush strongly supports.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
- CNN December 2, 1999

BLITZER: If you were in the Senate and [President Clinton] vetoed, once again, the [ban on the] so-called partial-birth abortion procedure, you would vote against sustaining that against the -- in favor of the veto in other words, you would support the president on that.
GIULIANI: Yes. I said then that I support him, so I have no reason to change my mind about it.
BLITZER: All right. So the bottom line is that on a lot of these very sensitive issues whether on guns, abortion, patients' bill of rights, taxes, you are more in line with the president and by association, with Mrs. Clinton, than you are against them.
- CNN February 6, 2000

[GEORGE] WILL: Is your support of partial birth abortion firm?
Mayor GIULIANI: All of my positions are firm. I have strong viewpoints. I express them. And I--I do not think that it makes sense to be changing your position....
ABC News February 6, 2000

MR. RUSSERT: A banning of late-term abortions, so-called partial-birth abortions--you're against that?

MAYOR GIULIANI: I'm against it in New York, because in New York...

MR. RUSSERT: Well, if you were a senator, would you vote with the president or against the president? [Note: President Clinton was in office in 2000]

MAYOR GIULIANI: I would vote to preserve the option for women. I think that choice is a very difficult one. It's a very, very--it's one in which people of conscious have very, very different opinions. I think the better thing for America to do is to leave that choice to the woman, because it affects her probably more than anyone else....

MR. RUSSERT: So you won't change your view on late-term abortion in order to get the Conservative Party endorsement?

MAYOR GIULIANI: It isn't just that. We shouldn't limit this to one issue. I'm generally not going to change my views
- NBC Meet the Press, February 6, 2000

***Note: the version of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban that Giuliani opposed in 2000, that he said he supported Bill Clinton in vetoing the Republican-controlled Congress's legislation, contained the provision for the life of the mother that Rudy is now trying to pretend is a prerequisite for his support of it.

What are you talking about? Something on FR? I have been gone all day and just logged on a bit ago.

If you are a Romney supporter, go put up as many threads as you can.

No, what's "amazing", is all of the people who no longer have to comply with FR's rules.

The wife of an American serviceman who used to be stationed here at Tinker AFB found info on Hunter she posted the link. I have found the same info long before he announced for a project that I am doing for a company that had nothing to do with Hunter -- his name popped up in research. She was on the Rudy ping list and after that she was attacked unmercifully on that thread and then made fun of after she was tossed. All I did was post I had the same information and as you can see I am now being followed around. I then went back on the thread and said I would post no more on Hunter threads because I didn't want to be banned as well.

Three people from the Rudy ping list including one long time Freeper was called a troll and banned, then another, and now a third. Could be coincidence, don't really know but I am not taking a chance.

We have been called all kinds of names and nothing happens so I figure it is better just to stay on Rudy threads. If Hunter gets the nomination, I will be the first to donate and offer my support for the general election. Heck I would even do that for McCain and anyone that knows me knows I don't like McCain.

Does it make you uncomfortable? Maybe you ought to ask yourself why.

Instead of complaining about a duplicate posting of a diagram, maybe you want to try to defend the heinous position the Giuliani took in those interviews.

Probably will post on every page of a Rudy thread now! Only recently can a Freeper blast FR and the owner and come back on here and be king of the hill!

Thank you. I will!

Please do. The Dems will ask the same questions of all nominees that we ask now. There is no point in pretending that the various issues do not exist, because the Dems will have no qualms about making hay out of them come September 2008.

Do I sense a bit of discomfort? A twist in your stomach? A twinge that the procedure just might be murder by any sane sense of humanity?

Spiff, please post it again.
