Giuliani to farmers: I'm runningJeff St. John/The Fresno Bee02/13/07 11:20:59
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TULARE Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani told a crowd of about 100 this morning at the World Ag Expo in Tulare that he will run for president.
"Yes, I am running," he said. "Hard and very fast and a lot sooner than I thought.
"There's no job like it in the world."
Giuliani has yet to make a formal announcement of his candidacy.
Giuliani is in the midst of a swing through the central San Joaquin Valley after addressing the state Republican convention in Sacramento over the weekend.
On agricultural issues, Giuliani told the crowd, "I'm no expert." But he summed up advice he received from a farmer at the show: '"American farmers, they need water, they need labor and they need a level playing field."
He also stressed the importance of a strong agricultural sector so that the country does not come to rely on imported food the same way it relies on imported petroleum.

Eddie Arnold played a New Yorker who got into farming.
His wife was a hoot, too.

Eddie Arnold played a New Yorker who got into farming. If we could only get that music to automatically play when Rudy was talking...

Isn't anyone at least a little suspicious of the MSM on FR anymore? How is it that we get article after article detailing the tiniest flatulence of Rudy and nary a peep from the other GOP candidates?
Could it possibly be that we're just following their drumbeat for a Rudy run? Surely, the others have said something in front of someone! I don't like him as our candidate anyway but I'm doubly vexed that he's the media's favorite...

The MSM would love to have Rudy as the nominee. They love nothing more than making Rudy the football, and then playing the role of Lucy as the Charley Brown GOP runs up to kick it through the uprights.

When is this guy going to formally announce his candidacy? All I hear are these teaser quotes. Is he waiting for his media coronation like Hillary?
