The Venezuelan Government success in the social area needs to be replicated, said Monday Ecuadorian Vice-President Lenín Moreno.

These nations fall under any rogue communist dictator that comes along because the people do not insist on performance from their government, if they even know who it is. Communism is a short-term way to absolute power over slaves and impoverished weaklings. It never lasts as we know -- it produces nothing but power for a few until it goes broke, which is ALWAYS does.

The Veep seems to ignore the fact that Chavez's "generosity" to the Venezeulan poor is made possible entirely by Venezuela's massive unearned oil wealth, and his spreading of influence has been entirely due to the boom in oil prices that we've seen in the last 4 years.
