"Guiliani simply can't win. He should save himself and his party the hassle and end this now."

If Rudy can't win, then why are so many people in panic mode so early? He brings good talking points up and he is a good attack dog on Hillary. He should be allowed to spend his money on a campaign the same as any other candidate. If a better candidate comes along, then let him or her prove it by countering Rudy's platform.

"He brings good talking points up..."

Like his stance on the second amendment? Or his support for infanticide?

Because Rudy will cause a repeat of 1992 if nominated.

Because social conservatives know that the vast majority of folks care about economic and national security issues over social issues that a President has little impact on. It's the equivalent of when the dinosaurs were thrashing in the tar pits.

I agree. Let's all wait until the last minute to attack Rudy, everyone! It's more effective that way. /s

Well, as they so often post that photo of him, you know the one I mean ...one can only conclude they are jealous of his great legs!!!

Panic mode?....you are kidding right?...lol

Only a Rudy-apologist would 'define' discussing Rudy's strong liberal bias and pointing out his lack of conservative credentials as 'panic mode'!

I guess if I was a liberal apologist--I would consider ANY highlighting or ANY discussion of his liberal leanings as 'panic mode' too...lol

Why? Because a lot of the party bigs plus some of the major "conservative" talk show hosts like Yawn Vanity, Hewitt, and Medved appear to be in the tank for Rudy already. While I don't think this is enough to get a vile liberal extremist over the top, it may be enough to cripple the party badly going into the general election.

If nothing else, Rudy's candidacy is flushing a lot of skunks out of the underbrush.

Yes...Alhough I found the "we're gonna get you if you run, Rudy" tone taken by this columnist somewhat amusing.

I'm not a Rudy supporter...I don't like any of the current candidates (Run Newt, Run) but the degree of hostility shown by so many conservatives on this board is interesting. Admdst all the blather about finding the new Reagan, they're overlooking some of the basic tenets of Reaganism. Speak no ill of a fellow Republican and let the market sort things out.

If Rudy wins...he wins.
