Dad. Welcome aboard. May your time spent here be fruitful as well as informative. So many here hold your son and all those fine Marines up in prayer for HIM to provide the way they all will be vindicated from any wrong doing in due time.
As for your heart of hearts.
I guess we are Marine family of kind. My nephew was with the 2/2 BN Warlords (Camp Lejeune) during the time your son was in Fallujah. My nephew was in on the initial planned invasion of Fallujah, they where in the SE sector.
His BN rotated around bases (Camp MEK) down to the triangle of death (al Mahmudiya south of Baghdad) during the first tour. His second tour was in al Anbar.
For us that have loved ones deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan, obviously this GWOT is quite personal in so many ways.
The good Lord only knows how many prayers we have lifted up to HIM in our Marines and Soldiers behalf over the past four years or so.
HE surely will keep close watch on how things develop in your son's case as well as all those Marines alledged to have gone beyond their ROE.
We know in our hearts they did no crimes. But served with honor and the spirit all Marines in combat exercise. They had to cover each other sixes.
Keep your good spirit up, and refuse to let these horrible times get you down. All will work out well according to HIS perfect will in this matter.

I have long believed this incident to be mischaracterized by a media which is too eager to berate our military, and to lazy and scared to really look into the matter. I hope Tony Snow who I know is a member of this forum finds the opportunity to ask the president to intervene in this matter when it is appropriate.

Hey folks, if you'll note the above posting, you'll see it was posted by the father of one of the actual accused Haditha Marines.
I've believed them to be innocent all along (fog of war and ROEs), but this gives legs to that belief.
