Join Rudy 2008 ^ | 12 Feb 2008 | Press Release

New York, Feb 12 -

The Rudy Giuliani Exploratory Committee today announced that Congressman Pete Sessions and former Congresswoman Susan Molinari are supporting Mayor Rudy Giuliani to be the next President of the United States. Both will take active roles aiding Giuliani’s exploratory efforts, with Sessions working to build support in the House and Molinari serving as both Senior Advisor and Chairman of Washington outreach.

In announcing their endorsement, Sessions and Molinari praised Giuliani’s proven leadership.

“I’m supporting Mayor Giuliani for President because he has the experience, record of results and vision to unite our country during these uncertain times. I’m honored to be a part of his team and will work hard to elect Rudy Giuliani as the next President of the United States,” said Congressman Pete Sessions.

Congresswoman Susan Molinari stated, “I’ve seen the results of Mayor Giuliani’s leadership – cutting taxes, transforming a historic deficit into a multi-billion dollar surplus and reducing crime. Without a doubt, Rudy Giuliani is the demonstrated leader America needs to tackle difficult challenges and move our country forward.”

Mayor Rudy Giuliani thanked both Congressman Sessions and former Congresswoman Molinari for their support. “I’m honored to have the support of two Republican leaders who have made a real difference as public servants.”

:sigh: do I really need to spell this out?

First you have to learn to spell.

That you have contrived an excuse that overwhelms your cognitive abilities, and thereby frees you from understanding the self-contradiction of what you have already written doesn't change the fact that your assertions are a poor exercise in "saving face."

All your prattling conveniently ignores the fact Specter originally threatened NOT to support the President's nominees, and was only brought to heel when it became obvious he was running a real risk of losing his chair due to Republican outrage.

And while you're in the dictionary, you need to look up the definition of "principle" as you obviously have the term confused with "pragmatism."

If they had to tell the truth, they couldn't post.

I can't count how many times we've asked for links to their ridiculous statements, and we never seem to get any. But we should keep asking just so the lurkers can see what their little shell game is.

Ah, Susan Molinari, you mean the bubble headed slut who slept with every State Senator in Albany, and only got elected because of her mob-connected father, the political boss of the toxic waste dump known as Staten Island?

Apparently Eddie George is running off tackle out of the I formation here. I'm not a Rudy shill by any means. I'd prefer a true conservative...put Newt Gingrich's political beliefs in Brittany Spears body and we have a winner with the public!!!

But the Rudy bashers are on a mission. Why?

But unlike what is posted to FR, his son is NOT there now; that is a complete misrepresentation of the facts.

Opinions differ on all your points.

I agree! The lack of political knowledge by some of these posters is astounding and not something I have come across on here that much. From not knowing how delegates are picked to the State Conventions to the foul language yesterday, it is not something we usually see.

So do I, It Stink there in the Summer, have you ever been there?

he Fresh Kills Landfill on the New York City borough of Staten Island, was formerly the largest landfill in the world, at 2200 acres (890 hectares),[1] and was New York City's principal landfill in the second half of the 20th century. The name "Fresh Kills" refers to its location along the banks of the Fresh Kills estuary in western Staten Island.

Opened in 1948, it became one of the largest refuse heaps in human history. It also achieved the status as the highest man-made hill directly on the East Coast of the United States. Under local pressure and with support of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the landfill site was slated to close on March 22, 2001. However, after the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, the landfill was temporarily reopened in order to receive and process most of the debris from the destruction. Most of the debris was later removed and sold for scrap.

Starting in 2003, the site was to be transformed into reclaimed wetlands, recreational facilities and landscaped public parkland, the largest expansion of the New York City parks since the development of the chain of parks in the Bronx during the 1890s.

In January, 2005, Staten Island Borough president James Molinaro announced plans to open three roads leading out of the former landfill to regular traffic, as part of an effort to ease the road congestion for which Staten Island has become notorious in recent years.

Winter 2004 - Heather Mac Donald

Illegal immigration.. snip.."Former mayor Rudolph Giuliani sued all the way up to the Supreme Court to defend the city's sanctuary policy against a 1996 federal law decreeing that cities could not prohibit their employees from cooperating with the INS. Oh yeah? said Giuliani; just watch me. The INS, he claimed, with what turned out to be grotesque irony, only aims to "terrorize people." Though he lost in court, he remained defiant to the end.

On September 5, 2001, his handpicked charter-revision committee ruled that New York could still require that its employees keep immigration information confidential to preserve trust between immigrants and government.

Six days later, several visa-overstayers participated in the most devastating attack on the city and the country in history.

Actually, I posted that about "mute"/moot, because I have seen so many others here do just that and I couldn't stand it any more. Your post was just the final straw; so to speak.

I'm reading NOTHING into your posts. You and I have been having this same conversations for what, months?

You say you want Haley; I said I love him, but he isn't going to run and why.

I was not being condescending at all! Talk about someone reading things into a post! LOL

Guiliani's now infamous Tsunami aid speech in South Carolina

Clinton, George Bush Sr. and all George Clooney all donated their time. But not St. Rudy!

Giuliani relief

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ A South Carolina lawmaker has asked Rudy Giuliani to pay back all of a $100,000 fee he was given by a hospital group for a speech at a tsunami relief fund-raiser two months ago. Giuliani donated $20,000 of the fee and kept the rest after the Feb. 9 event in Columbia. The sponsor of the event, the South Carolina Hospital Association, said Giuliani gave back twice what they asked for and the group has no problem with him keeping the other $80,000. But Rep. Tracy Edge, R-North Myrtle Beach, said he is upset because the speech was widely publicized as a charity event. "Nowhere was it disclosed that Mayor Giuliani was being paid for his appearance," said Edge, who wants the former New York mayor to repay the entire amount

It's just SO Clintonian! They lie when they don't have to and then get bent all out of shape, when anyone calls them on it.

Yes, we have to keep asking for links and pointing out the lies.

I didn't say that YOU had called him HITLER, but that he HAD been called that. Striking lots of nerves, am I?

You incorrectly used the word "wont"; BTW.

Goodness gracious, if you can't manage to grow a thicker skin, you shouldn't post ridiculous, specious historical references.

Rasputin NEVER ran for any public office. He was a priest and a teensy influence behind the throne; very unlike a REAL power behind the throne....Cardinal Richelieu.

Heck, Rasputin has far less influence than Machiavelli had and he didn't have all that much.

Happy now, are you? LOL
