Giuliani probably fits right in the middle of that range. I went through an exercise with another Freeper last week in which we documented Giuliani's track record on ten major issues, and the end result was that he probably warrants an "equivalent ACU rating" of 20-25.

I've looked at Rudy and the issues. I would say he is about 60% conservative and that's after being Mayor for the electorate of a liberal cesspool.

Anyway, in the primaries, given Rudy's Abortion, 2a and illegal immigration record, Rudy should not be our nominee.

Yea and where did it get you? 8 years of him! Beating someone on whether they served in the military is fruitless and doesn't work. Try again!

Bringing up Clinton's draft deferment did not get him elected. There were a number of other elements which lead to that.

We're talking about the PRIMARY ELECTION where we're trying to decide which REPUBLICAN candidate to put forward as the Republican nominee. You seem to keep forgetting, over and over again, that we're NOT in the general election. If you can somehow rationalize voting in the PRIMARY for a draft dodger over a conservative Republican candidate VIETNAM VETERAN who has a son serving in Iraq, then you have no shame at all. It is amazing to me that there is absolutely no revelation about Giuliani, no information about his awful positions on Republican issues, NOTHING bad enough that it could possibly dissuade you from supporting him.

How's it working for Republican voters who sat on their hands in '06 & helped create a Democrat house & senate majority? Wanna go for the trifecta in '08?

When did you become politically aware?

The 92' whippin' is what gave us the 94' Sweep.

Did he get special treatment? As I recall, when Cheny was in college, he was able to get a standard deferment without a special favor from a high-level official.

He got 5 of them! received five deferments, four because he was a student and one for being a new father. If you really want to know. But personally I couldn't care less if he got 100. He is still a good VP.

Jeeze then maybe we should start beating up on Cheney? He got out of the draft too? Now would you start doing that? I don't think so. I know I wouldn't.

Is Cheney running for President in the 2008 elections?

She did not respond to his "fascist" line in any way. Didn't call him on it all, however gently.

That is not what I asked.

Those were stock deferments available to all who qualified at the time.

Rudy came later when those deferments had been removed. Cheney never got special treatment. Rudy and Slick did.

Believe me most people in the U.S. don't care.

And you're crossing your fingers that most of the people in the REPUBLICAN PARTY don't care enough to vote against him in the PRIMARY election. Every new revelation about Giuliani has you hoping and praying that Republicans won't hear about it or won't give a darn. That being the case, you're in a bad position and you know it.

We were talking about deferments. And if you think that will stop people from voting for Rudy you are very much mistaken - it will make them vote for him even more. Playing dirty pool like that only brings out the voters more to oppose the people playing dirty pool.

The 92' whippin' is what gave us the 94' Sweep.

Bush I drifted left and lost.

Newt drove hard to starboard and won.

Now the GOP has slowly drifted left and lost.

But for some reason, a few folks think the solution is to go even further leftward.

Go figure.

The 'Cmdr' is a veteran "1968 - 1969" and supports a Rudy candidacy.

The 'Cmdr' is a newbie who signed up a couple of days ago to promote the most liberal major Republican presidential candidate in the history of the known universe on a conservative forum.

LOL! If you think FR represents the majority of voters in the U.S. you are sorely mistaken. You guys are still living in the 1980's - things have changed within the Republican party.

Thanks.

Just what I figured. I wonder if she's familiar with the old saying, "silence gives assent"?

BTW, so what that most if not all GOP supported the Contract. Is that supposed to make her support less valid? No, but it does make her support less meaningful.

No, but it does make her support less meaningful.

Less valid, no, less meaningful, yes. LOL! I think you cut too fine a point with that.

She was a left-wing dope for the most part, and cemented herself in that camp by being one of the only GOP members of Congress to vote for Clinton's infamous Family & Medical Leave Act in 1993.

Molinari wasn't "left-wing" for the most part. I know that the ACU rated her around 75% conservative. And as far as being a "dope", most politicans are dopes or at least support dopy things.

Just found where she was an advocate for the Contract with America. She worked with Newt!

So did every GOP candidate running for a House seat. Her husband was the man who would have been elected Speaker had that coup against Mr. Newt succeeded ... do you really believe she was wholly unaware it was being plotted against him, Mr. Paxton's confessed role??

That's pretty impressive.

Someone should start a list of people who have pledegd support for Rudy ... such as Sessions or Bill Simon ... both heavy conservatives.

It would be great to have that list as it will become as HUGH as the ping list. :)

You need to be careful. With all that flailing and thrashing about you're doing right now, you might spill or break something or could even hurt yourself.
