After every six-hour Thanksgiving at my grandmother's house, we'd always stop at White Castle on the way home.

Yummm...

How to cook a frozen slider
by youngjim

Acquire slider briefcase (24 sliders in a handy cardboard box) and immediately freeze, keeping a meal supply--I like 3 cheesy sliders at a time--in the fridge.

Acquire metal egg poacher.

In a small pot that will contain the egg poacher, boil a small amount of water (enough that it will cover the bottom of the pot, but not over the top of the egg poacher).

Using a fork for a handle; place the sliders on the poacher and put poacher in (uncovered) pot.

Steam for 60 to 90 seconds.

Enjoy the wonders of capitalist America with a couple of raw scallions--you gotta eat your greens!

I'm the same way. My wife will tolerate them about once a year, and I can't have too many or get tired of them but I get the crave about once a month and tell my wife not to plan dinner for me. She understands.

I only tried the frozen once. (no cheese, original for me) I seem to recall it didn't have pickles.

My hubby loves to take me to my eye doctor in Columbus. It's a two hour drive one way, but there's a White Castle near Chillicothe and he can't pass it by. I love the Jalapeno Cheeseburgers. They smell even worse than the regular hamburgers.

I went to college in downtown Philly, and White Castle was the great equalizer. At three-thirty in the morning, you could find racial harmony at the White Castle, as drunken louts of all shades fed the grease jones.

There's nothing like waking up and finding White Castle leavings in the garbage. Oy.

The pickles and onions are what make a White Castle. The bun too.
In fact, you could make a real good White Castle without the patty.
;~ )

Yeah, my hubby always buys me chocolates too and then proceeds to eat most of them. You guys think you're so clever. :P

lol. I've been known to eat a McDonald's hamburger that way.

AFA White Castle, I agree -- it's all in the onions and the steamed bun. Bliss.

If you google "secret recipes" or whatever, there's a recipe for white castle burgers.
I made them once and they were really good. Hmm on second thought...maybe they don't taste like the real thing... ;^)

Someone later exposed the Edwrds sham and told how they had chi-chi meals delivered from some country club's restaurant.

Wasn't this done before with Skerry in 2004? Either these Dems have no originality, or an urban legend is making the rounds (again).

Would've been just as funny!

Years ago, my mom made some "copycat" White Castle burgers. I seem to recall it involved a jar of veal baby food. Urp!

I do love the real White Castles though. Sometimes you just have to have what you crave. :)

LOL, I love those things. I grew up in Louisville, KY till I was 8 and still miss them.

I will be having a gutbomb with my Valentine on Friday when we visit the White Castle across the street from the Empire State building in NYC.
