I can't for the life of me understand the fact that our leaders do not bring up the 500 mustard and sarin filled shells that have been found since entering Iraq.
Our guys just seem to fold. We have legitimate proof, but everyone caves on this... Why?
Even if you accept that they were no longer powerful enough to cause damage (which I don't), we have found WMDS.. period.
Every time we are confronted with the "No WMDs" argument on tv we fold...
..and 500 tons of Yellowcake!!!
It's sort of like the old TV show Hogan's Heroes. Every time there was an escape from Stalag 13, Col. Klink found a way to explain why it wasn't an escape. Either the prisoner hadn't been officially enrolled, prisoner was assumed shot while escaping, etc.
Also found were Zippe Centrifuges
This drives me batty. I bring up the point with dems, and they come back with "If it is true, why isn't Bush saying it?"...
Would you have a link to the find? I've compiled quite a list of WMD articles, I'd like to add information about this.
I can't understand why when the liberals say the administration lied about WMD, Republicans don't point out that even Saddam acted like he believed he had WMD.
Because to bolster the "BIG LIE" no matter how much they found, it would never be "enough"
bush et. al. decided to play new england elite pansie wimps when it came to confronting domestic terrorism, aka democrats and the socialist media.
no one knows exactly why the gop lost its collective balls
there is no leadership from the white house, which is stuck in a charlie brown/lucy football kick pattern when it comes to bi-partisan policy with the democrats
it was a strategic disaster to try to play nice, and you have expressed the frustration most of us have felt for years with bush and the gop
rudy giuliani's most prominent strengths are strong, articulate leadership, and a willingness to come out swinging at the democrats and the media
for this reason alone he would deserve my support
his proven success in supporting gop candidates and swaying voters, support the war on terrorism, fighting crime, lowering taxes, selecting judges, etc. are big picture issues that make him irresistible - he is the right man for the job
here's one for ya..I got into a discussion with a moonbat in baton rouge and he stated we hadn't found WMD's..I then asked him, in his own words and his own definition, to define what a WMD was..I asked him to tell me how many people must die, in one event, with one weapon, at one location, before it's considered a WMD..10? 20? 100? 1000?..he couldn't answer, but continued with his argument that none had been found..
my statement to him was, if you can't define it, how can you say none have been found? I reminded him of the sarin tipped mortars and asked him if these were WMD'S..he again avoided answering..I then asked him why he was expecting TONS AND TONS of WMD'S to be found, when by definition a WMD is easily concealable and able to kill thousands..he again had no answer..last thing he said before he stormed off was to call me a right-wing conspirator..
can't answer the questions so he calls me names..I put that one in the win column..:)
The media accepted the fact that the WMD threat was real while Clinton was in office. The change in stance is %100 percent political and beyond loathsome. The fact is that he already used them (WMDs) on Iranians, Iraqis, and Kurds. I said this to a hardcore dem onetime and he had a mini meltdown and started babbling something about Halliburton...
Because they are Republicans?
Seriously, the road to insanity is trying to find rational reasons for irrational behavior. So, I have no answers.
Something... either sinister or stupid.
To MOST people, WMD = Nukes.
And, even then...they've got to be loaded on ICBM's in order to qualify as a "real" threat.
People's eyes just glaze over when you mention Chemical or Biological Warfare. There's just too many people willing to believe "it can't happen HERE"...any yet there is NO way to protect a civilian population from such an attack.
Let's face it. Most Americans are rather provincial as well in their thinking. Just because Saddam may have gassed a bunch of Iranian soldiers or even tens of thousands of Kurds...they feel immune to the reality.
You will never find the current immigration dwelling publicly on the likelihood of such an attack and/or how ill-prepared we are as a country to repel such a horror. The public would no doubt panic if they realized how real the threat is along with how little we can do about it.
I'm talking about PREVENTING such an attack...not merely hospitalizing victims or doing hazmat "containment".
Until people actually SEE thousands of their countrymen writhing about on the ground, bleeding from their eyes, this is very unlikely to change.
Is that more or less than global warming?
