Agreed, Hunter is the best man in the race.

When it comes to Rudy McRomney, it's more like fourth best, behind Hunter, Tancredo, Brownback, and Gingrich, at least.

I would just like to continue to remind folks how important involvement is. If you like Duncan Hunter's stance, then DON'T LISTEN to naysayers. They seek to instigate a self fulfilling prophecy of discouragement. Yuck!

Instead sign up and support Duncan Hunter. If someone else better comes along, there is no dishonor in changing later.

Please go to www.GoHunter08.com and volunteer and/or donate.

Also, Duncan Hunter has a strong following here on Free Republic, so join in by voting for him in the Free Republic straw poll: http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/poll?poll=170

Smart of him to neglect to mention that he's from the legislative branch, given how badly presidential candidates from Congress perform.

I can't see Hunter doing much beyond forcing a more likely candidate to stake out conservative positions, presuming the more likely candidate isn't a conservative to begin with.

Our country needs a pro-life, pro-border-security conservative like Duncan Hunter in the White House.

I don't see anything to argue with here, Do you happen to know what Mr. Hunter's beliefs are concerning "global warming?"

There is a lot to like about Duncan Hunter. If he can prove himself a viable candidate, he could rally the conservaitve base.

Then again, there is the House Bank Scandal...

While he was the “Republican Mayor” of New York City he appointed more than 60 men and women to the Civil, Criminal, and Family Court benchs. In all of those judicial appointment only two were Republican.

All of his other judical appointments were either registered Liberals or registered Democrats. As the “Republican Mayor” he had appointment power over more than 70 full commissioners in more than 50 City agencies, yet at no time during his administration did REPUBLICANS account for more than 10% of those appointments.

He even appointed Chuck Schumers wife as the City’s Department of Transportation Commissioner.

FINALLY!!!
I've found my candidate. Had been leaning toward Romney, and if Hunter can't rally enough support to gain the nomination then I guess I'll have to stick with Romney. But as of now I'm fully committing to Duncan Hunter.

Duncan Hunter is not exactly a household name.

If I don't know who he is or what he's done, then you have really tough sledding getting the average voter to know who he is and what he's done.

Doesn't sound like a feasible plan for winning in 2008 to go with an unknown.
