You seem to have forgotten stare decisis in your analysis. Our common law Crown FReeper could have a great point, here.

Thanks - I just seems to me that good appeals to more people than perfect. Perfect for me - imperfect for you.. Good? well I can put up with that, can't you?

There are a lot of people bashing Hannity here - but listen to what he says. Rudy is good in the areas that are important -- nobody is going to end abortion at this point in history -- GET OVER IT!! Radical Islam is the problem right now. I know it makes us feel pure to stick up for what IS right. But I'm a realist and wnat to win elections -- not feel good about myself. I think GOD will forgive me for this one.

I agree. The moderates who keep demanding compromise should start learning some of it themselves. Seriously, the Republican candidate needs to be palatable to the party's base. You may not agree, but none of the leading candidates are very impressive, and some of them are downright polarizing, like Rudy.

Rudy is a Gerald Ford Republican.

In 1976, the GOP snubbed their nose at the conservative wing, spent all year calling them and their candidate a bunch of nuts and yahoos and then insisted on the right coming home in the fall to vote for a left wing, unelected president. Jimmy Carter beat him.

The Rino's don't need us. Let them continue their trend of recent electoral successes. What's wrong with choosing between two Democrats anyway? (sarc)

Stop please calling fellow Republicans names. With our 2-party system, this is a very broad party. You have no more right to define it than I do or anyone else who aligns with it. So...who really is the "RINO"?

Well at least Bush is alive. You keep blaming Reagan for everything and Reagan's been dead for 2-1/2 years. LOL

"My dear guests, I am Mr. Roark, your host. Welcome to Fantasy Island!!"

Ever read Roe? If it is established that the child in the womb is a person, Roe itself says what I said.

The science is as clear as it could possibly be: Human life begins at conception. DNA and all, you know.

Romney shot himself in the head today.

Most Conservatives and even just plain old GOPers HATE McCain.

Nobody has ever heard of the the bottom tier and not a one of them has, nor will get enough 1) financial backing 2) major political backing 3) top drawer teams 4) the right kind of on the ground, in each state, teams 5) and last but certainly NOT least, the primaries are FRONT LOADED!

And FWIW......................Newt is NOT going to run!

Seriously, the Republican candidate needs to be palatable to the party's base.

And just who decides who is in the "base" and who is not? Please. The real problem now is that the Republican Party is in danger of becoming too narrow and too sectional. That's a recipe for permanent minority status. Sorry, but the argument that all Republican candidates have to be conservative cuts no ice with me. You can't win nationally with 35% of the vote and giving up the large coastal and upper midwestern states.

You know his name and you know that most of his supporters on FR live on the East coast and many other states.

There are many other republicans running including Mitt who many have never heard of.

Being a purist in your own little world I can understand you don't have a clue what is going on even in your little world

Graf didn't win. The GOP helped sink their own candidate. They preferred an ACLU liberal, who is now my congresswoman.

I voted. It sure did a lot of good. And I still get to hear the Rino choir here telling me I didn't vote and am responsible for the party's electoral disaster. The shmuck we nominated for governor here in Arizona was an imbecile's imbecile and the GOP pulled the rug out from under Graf, after supporting his opponent in the primary.

But now we should just kiss the Rino's ugly nose and vote for Rudy, who could run comfortably as a Democrat. Okay. Yeah. Right.

Do you think Dred Scott should still be standing because of stare decisis?

>>>>Rudy is a Gerald Ford Republican.

You've got that right. Back in my youth when I was battling NYCity liberals, we'd call Rudy Giuliani, a Rockefeller Republican. You know what, Rudy is very fond of Rockefeller Republicans, like Jacob Javits, John Lindsey and of course, Nelsen Rockefeller himself.

Rockefeller Republicans = liberal Republicans

"Mr. Rockefeller represented 'a tradition in the Republican Party' I've worked hard to re-kindle - the Rockefeller, Javits, Lefkowitz tradition."
~~~Rudy Giuliani, New York Times July 9, 1992
I know full well what we are up against concerning abortions. But I will never intentionally vote for any person who believes that murdering unborn babies is acceptable. Why do you think I am so against Rudy getting the nomination? I sincerely want someone I can vote for.
The people can nominate anyone they want, but my vote has to be earned. It's that simple.
We're all on the same team. Only on FR can the 11th Commandment be broken with impunity.
