The Chicago Tribune's Pre-emptive Strike on Rudy Giuliani (petty smear by MSM)
Real Clear Politics ^ | February 08, 2007 | Richard Baehr

The Chicago Tribune seems to fancy itself in the role of kingmaker when it comes to knocking candidates out of political races, and helping hometown politicians it favors to win. Its latest effort has targeted Rudy Giuliani, who all but officially entered the race for the Republican nomination for President in 2008 this week. Within two days of his announcement, a lengthy "investigative" piece appeared on the front page of the paper trashing Giuliani for his high speaking fees and some questionable business clients in the years since he entered the private sector. The hit piece authored by Andrew Zajac was obviously a long time in the works, waiting to be released at the right moment to derail the Giuliani boom before it ever gets going.

I hope you don't put all your eggs in the Duncan Hunter basket.

After 26 years in congress and people still say, Duncan who? Is that the guy who has the yo-yo company?

Oh wait, he's gonna get a web site going and that's gonna set folks on fire.

I like a lot of his positions, but a lot of people need a reality check. If not, Hillary or Obama will be running this place.

Daily News, NY Post (Murdoch tool), NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, etc. were all "positive" to Rudy Rockefeller, as was the normally liberal Saturday Night Live.

BTW: Being pro-"law and order" (shill does not make one a conservative. If that were the case, Lenin, Mao, Schumer, and Koch would be conservatives.

Rudy is a Bill Clinton/Joe Lieberman Democrat, no matter what deluded folks who drink the media Kool Aid think.

NBC, CBS, ABC and the Daily News are pro-Rudy?
Since when?
I am sure that will come as news to Rudy and most Republicans in New York City.

You keep right on spewing out utter rubbish don't ya?
Since when did Mao or Stalin ever practice any law and order?
How the heck could Mo practice law and order in a communist China that had no rule of law or due process?

After 9/11, and at several moments during his tenure on "quality of life" issues.

Yuppie douchebags love this a-shole and just what party do you think they vote for? The majority of NYC's population is comprised of limp wristed yuppies and third worlders. Most of these folks are Democrats and many of them voted for Rudy.

"After 9/11, and at several moments during his tenure on "quality of life" issues"

# 1. 9/11 came at the end of Rudy's term so their "support" would have had nothing to do with Rudy being elected even if that were true, which it isn't.
# 2. CBS, ABC, NBC have never supported Rudy.
# 3. You don't know what you are talking about
#.4 Spewing out uninformed rubbish is not getting you anywhere here.

Supporting liberal New York "Republicans" won't get you far here either.

I've been on this site since Jan 2001. Oh when did you join, Rudy come lately? ;-)

Groan!
Another retarded, bigoted idiot, who has no idea what NYC is about, and tries bluster his way by smearing everyone who lives i NYC with brain dead generalizations.
You want generalizations?
Why don't you try this for size? :
The majority of your posts are full of waste fecal matter, and makes about as much sense as something that comes from the hind quarters of a horse

Yawn.

I have lived in and around NYC most of my life (Brooklyn, Bronx, and on Lawn Guyland) and call them as I know them. Do you deny that most of NYCs voters are Democrats? Do you deny that the majority of the population are limp wristed Yuppies, third world immigrants, and the latter's children and grandchildren?

It's gotten me a great mayor, sharply reduced crime rate, a much cleaner city, , not to mention a 42nd street that has Disney instead of pimps and hookers.
Exactly where has your rabid, retarded anti-Rudy garbage gotten you?
Hilary Clinton's hind quarters?

Your city is still a SOCIALIST, high tax hellhole.

Come back when you've actually read the founding fathers, fired a gun, and/or spent time in the REAL America. ;-)

Called himself Alberta's Child on here.
