"I'm going to ask you if you're willing to LISTEN to him as he tries to make the case that he merits your support and vote."
Like any Pol does. Come on!
"If he makes the case, fine, if not, then you're free to sit out the campaign."
Who said anything about *sitting out*? I'll be voting for Duncan Hunter, if provided the chance. He doesn't have to convince me he's a CONSERVATIVE.
OK..sorry for the presumption on my part..I misspoke. It wasn't my intent. Hunter is a wonderful candidate. I'd happily support him. My assessment is that he can't attract enough support, and $$$ to be a viable candidate. I'd love to see him on Rudy's short list for VP..which I suspect may well be the reason he's running. But if Rudy does prevail, and as I predict, it'll be down to he and McCain in a few months..then will you sit out, or what? That's the point I was trying to make, the question I was posing..
Well, of course he doesn't have to convince you. He's not a politician.
oh wait...
When Rudy wins the nomination he may be smart to choose Duncan Hunter for his VP as long as Duncan isn't painted as a nut by the media.
I'll probably be supporting Hunter, as well. He appears to be closer to my views than any other candidate.
We're certainly free to support whomever we like in the primaries.
That said, if Duncan Hunter doesn't win the nomination and Rudy Giuliani does, I'll lend my support to Rudy...happily.
Please don't ask what I'll do if John McCain wins the nomination, though...
