MEXICO CITY - President Bush will travel to Mexico in March to meet with President Felipe Calderon, the government said Wednesday.

The Foreign Relations Department said in a statement that Bush will be in Mexico March 12-14 as part of a tour of Latin America.

Bush and Calderon met for the first time at the White House on Nov. 9, before the Mexican president had been sworn in, and discussed border security and illegal migration, among other topics.

Considering we are at War, you would think that our Border Patrol would be considered sentries, and have the powers there of.

The truth is a bit too much for you?If Ronald Reagan never offered amnesty, I'll like some documentation to prove me wrong.

So while President Bush deserve some blame for not dealing with this problem in a better way, it's not all his fault. Far from it.

Yes he did on the advice of his advisers as well as Congress' assuring him that they would enforce the accompanying laws against "hiring illegals and control over our borders" (sound familiar - that's what the 2006 Senate bill "promised to enact.")

Then, there were about 6 million illegals here and no one promised to give them Social Security, relax tax laws, make them immune from ID theft, etc.

Big change from then until now, isn't it? Oops, I forgot, we never enforced the 1983 laws promised to the American people.

It begs the question "Why?". If he'd just sit on his hands awhile longer they'll all be here and he can spare the taxpayers the travel expenses.

Stay down there, George. Dick Cheney couldn't be any worse as President.

Yes, it's a bit much for me that you would trash a dead man whose boots you would not be fit to polish if he were alive. Make your point another way, but leave Ronald Reagan's name out of this.

Punk.

That's why I don't like people trashing current President Bush as well. Now you're getting your medicine.

So it's all Bush's fault? You are quick to forget that President Reagan allowed amnesty for illegal immigrants in 1986.

President Reagan made a mistake in not ANTICIPATING what would happen to this country because of illegal immigration over the 21 years since the amnesty plan.

President Bush has made the much more shameful mistake of not LEARNING from mistakes of the past.

Yes, before it became as a big a problem as it is now.

There you go, that's being honest.

President Bush has made the much more shameful mistake of not LEARNING from mistakes of the past.

Mistake, yes? But more so than President Reagan? That's your opinion.

No, that's a fact. Reagan did not have a previous amnesty to judge unintended consequences against. Bush does.

Didn't the Bush family just purchase a little 100,000 spread in Paraguay?

That's most likely where he'll go after his beloved Mexican amnesty is granted, and after Americans tar and feather him and run him out of what's left of America.

Tell him to try getting there by driving across their southern border with Guatemala with 700 lbs. of drugs in a van. I wonder how he'd be treated by the Mexican border guards there?
