A former Texas Border Patrol agent is recovering after being beaten by his fellow inmates in a Mississippi prison.
Prison officials confirmed that Ignacio Ramos was attacked late Saturday and suffered minor cuts and bruises. Four inmates are under suspicion in the investigation of the assault.
Ramos has now been moved to a special housing unit.
Ramos and another agent were convicted of shooting a suspected drug smuggler in 2005 and then lying about it.
San Diego-area Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter said Ramos should have been segregated from the general prison population for his own safety when he reported to prison in January. Hunter has called for the two agents to be pardoned.

Jose Compean, wrongfully imprisoned Border Partrol Agent, "was assaulted Saturday night around 2200 by about five illegal immigrants. He has multiple and severe injuries. They put him in Isolation for now, he has not been allowed to see a doctor since Saturday. They were yelling at him in Spanish, Maten a la migra. which means kill the Border Patrol Agent. If he recovers from this, they will put him back in general population. This is what the Justice Department wants, including George Bush and Johnny Suttton."

No, He (along with his partner) should have been pardoned by Senor Bush. This is a frame up and a travesty of Justice. Jorge is going to be the the ruination of the Republican Party.

This one incident (well, along with the general a&&kissery that Bush has for Fox and illegals ) has made me SICK. This is a travesty!! The POTUS is supposed to protect the soverienty of our nation! Why pour billions into Iraq to leave the backdoor flipping open!?!?!
Last night I saw a woman who was reported to be Ramos' attorney on TV. She said that when Ramos went to this Federal prison that they had requested that he not be placed in 23-hour-lockdown because that punishment was punitive. So it would appear to some extent that he asked not to be totally segregated. This is what I understood from what she said. Apparently the prison didn't have a level of security between lockdown and general population.

This would have never have happened if Jorge Boooosh did the right thing.
I did not say that it wasn't the prison's fault -- I simply repeated a statement made by Ramos' attorney. Anyone with 'dem' in their screenname really shouldn't be throwing stones.
