OK, now the Left can start bashing Giuliani. Maybe they are getting worried now that he has 'officially' declared that he is going to declare?

I like Rudy and think he will do well. Based on some of the rabid dislike of Rudy voiced on Free Republic, and the fact that the Left is now also coming out against him...I am reminded by the quotes from Animal House---"They can't treat our pledges like that...only WE can treat our pledges like that!!!

As a member of "WE"...NO Rudy.

There's plenty of time before we need make a decision. WE needn't allow the Left to bulldoze us into such decisions at such an early stage in the game for their benefit. Let's not fall for their trick.

Alter is one of the biggest punks in the MSM. I saw Al Sharpton on TV saying Rudy was a racist because he cut the crime rate. Al apparently didn't realize he was admitting blacks commit most crimes.

Over the last decade, I’ve seen both good Rudy and bad Rudy up close.

Over the last decade, I've only seen the bad side of Jonathan Alter.

Thankfully we have primaries to knock out RINOs like Guiliani.

If I want someone with Hilary Clinton's liberal positions, I would have moved to NY and voted for the Arkansas carpetbagger.

But for 9/11 rudy guliani would have the same gravitas as christine todd whitman.

Rudy is polling so high because the rest of the Republican aspirant field is so nondescript.

Run-of-the-mill voters see Giuliani as a pillar of anti-terrorist courage and a tough law-and-order guy, period. He's memorable in that aspect so they mark for him in the polls.

Helping him in the polls is the fact that the average man-on-the-street undoubtedly can't even name more than one other announced Republican presidential hopeful out of the uninspiring gaggle.

Rudy's got a good schtick working for him which is his perceived leadership in tough times.

Except for McCain whose eccentricities and general loonyness are his schtick-in-trade, the question is which Pubbie candidate stands out from the field at this time other than Rudy?

Regardless of Rudy's pros and cons, the fact is, even though he's a "liberal" by our standards, most of the MSM still thinks he's an eeeeevil fascist Republican.

I'm not a supporter of Rudy, but this silly hit piece reveals the author as a childishly simplistic leftist who has nothing but the same old nonsense to spew.

Yesterday - the "more conservative than thou" crowd were claiming that the LameStream Media was all gaga over Rudy. How do they explain this article?

I'm sure I already know their answer - it's a double bluff - the liberal media is just PRETENDING to badmouth Rudy for some nefarious reason.

I am not a rabid Rudy supporter - but these posters who think we need a far-right candidate to win in 2008 simply do not understand where the MAJORITY of American's political whims lie - they WANT a Centrist - they do not want a far right nor a far left President. Neither the far left nor the far right will ever understand that.

I'm not rabid against Giuliani. Actually I admire many many things about him. I just don't see him as conservative. (Moderate at best) And his social issues are aproblem.

I like Duncan Hunter. If not Duncan... I don't know...

If you are a Freeper supporting Duncan Hunter please make your voice heard in this poll!!!

This article was written by the bad Jonathan, Alter's alter ego (the one without the hair).
