Keeping in mind that the pro-life believer respects ALL life, a type of triage makes the most sense.
Thus, our first concern should be to keep the citizens of our nation alive. Only a country of survivors can hope to cause change in her future.
In a perfect world, Guliani would be far from my first choice. But he appears to be perhaps the best hope to shut down the Clinton machine. I'm sure Hillary is squealing with delight to see the Republican in-fighting.
I sure hope that people remember to look at the big picture and realize what threatens "life" right now more than anything else.
Ahhh! The "Rinse and Repeat" Crowd!
Do you oppose the Federal war on drugs and No Child Left Behind?

Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do and how you do it.
Rudy Giuliani
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. Source: CNN.com, Inside Politics Dec 2, 1999 http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Rudy_Giuliani_Abortion.htmANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES (November 14, 2006)
RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

Because the last thing we need is another Bob Dole candidacy.
That is exactly why a candidate acceptable to conservatives would be a better nominee in the general. You guys are willing to compromise and vote for a conservative GOP candidate. Most anti-Rudy posters are not. Giuliani is not a pragmatic nominee.
Hi Southie....... Hope all is well with you.
This 08 cycle may well turn out to be one that turns all conventional/historical context upside down. It's very early in the game and a lot can happen to change things in this compressed cycle. So who knows which candidates will be the representatives of each party.
However if Giuliani becomes the nominee of the Republican party then I think you can throw out the past regarding which are red/blue states, trends, voting patterns etc. He may well bring states into play that would never have been in play for a Republican nominee. It may come down to just your thinking about the WOT and keeping the Clintons out of the WH. I know I'll vote for whomever is the party nominee with the hopes of defeating Hillary.
The "Repent, Rinse, and Repeat" crowd.
bttt
I know I'll vote for whomever is the party nominee with the hopes of defeating Hillary.
Same here. My conscience would not allow me to help her by sitting it out. No matter who the GOP nominates, I'll opt to hold my nose and vote in hopes of not suffering another Clinton.
Because for some unknown reason he is not just another GOP candidate, he is considered THE candidate that we need to rally around now. I don't think he is a total disaster, and would vote for him vs. Hillary, but I don't get why he should be our first choice.
Interesting. Thanks jwalsh07.
In favor of whom? "Undecided"?
Ah, you caught that, too.
Just a little prob with reality. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Well, Peach, I keep running into you all over the place today and finding the need to give you high fives!
What you said, all the way.
Yeah, THAT'S it
