President Bush traveled to Manassas, Virginia today where he addressed a crowd at Micron Technology Virginia on Fiscal Responsibility.

Ninety six years ago today, our fortieth president was born, and later tonight, Former First Lady Nancy Reagan will present our nation’s forty-first president, George Herbert Walker Bush, with the 2007 Ronald Reagan Freedom Award at a gala dinner in Beverly Hills, CA at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
To honor President Ronald Reagan on the anniversary of his birthday, President George W. Bush has designated United States Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton to place a wreath on President Reagan’s gravesite on his behalf. Colonel James B. Seaton III, Commanding Officer at Camp Pendleton, will conduct the ceremony, which will commence at 11:00 a.m. with a music prelude beginning at 10:30 a.m. by the Camp Pendleton band and the United States Naval Academy Men’s Glee Club. The ceremony includes a color guard, chaplain, a brass quintet, a 21-gun salute, the placing of an official wreath from the White House on President Reagan’s gravesite, and a fly-over by the March Air Reserve Base. The ceremony’s guest speaker will be the Honorable Edwin Meese, former Attorney General under President Reagan, who will deliver personal remarks. The ceremony will be held at President Reagan’s Memorial Site at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, located at 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley, California 93065.

When I close my 20-20 left eye, I cannot even see huge font with my right eye.
My sight is like that when I take my glasses off. The monitor is just one big white smudge.
Yikes. I am thankful for my 20-20 vision in my left eye.
OMG--I'd have it done yesterday!
I have to be able to set aside a week and thus far, it's looking like the first of March will be A-OK.
I asked my optometrist when I went for my annual checkup last June if I could get a Lasik, and he said my vision wasn't enough to warrant such a procedure. Can't see worth spit, but otherwise my eyes are healthy.
And God BLESS our President who walks tall and proud in the boots of the great Ronaldus Magnus, and will share his legacy of strength and accomplishment!

COme think of it President Reagan is probably main guy that made me want be Republican it is true
Reagan was a hero of mine, even though I wasn't old enough to vote for him.
I'm reading a biography of Harry Truman, which also talks about Churchill [Potsdam and afterwards]. From what is in the book, I see a lot more similarities between Truman and President Bush. Of course, it just deals with the last few weeks of Churchill's time in office. Churchill was of patrician side of society, late riser etc. Truman was a common man, farmer before politics, early riser, liked to exercise. The book I'm reading talks a lot about Truman's leadership qualities. Punctual, dressed neatly, and a respect for the office of President. A lot like W.
The way he treated his staff.
I'm wondering what comparisons you'll be able to make of Churchill. What little I've read I don't see a lot of strong comparisons between Churchill and W.
