To appear soon in a neighborhood near you. Completely "under the radar" of course! Best regards to all,

In other news, criminals everywhere celebrate. Assorted burglars, robbers, rapists, etc. head to Cook County to "burnish their resumes."

I believe Blago has said that he'll push for this statewide in the next legislative session.
Frickin' Nazis.

So where is the federal justice department? It should be marching into Cook Co. with a battalion of lawyers to file lawsuits for violating the civil rights of the citizens.
If the county decided to build separate but equal white and black water fountains, the feds would parachute in the 101st Airborne.
Guess this shows we don't have a justice system, but just a system.
What a fascist state.

So much for the Constitution of the United States, Bill of Rights amendments II and IV... guess they don't intend even to maintain the pretense of American government in Cook county.

To purchase a gun in the State of New York you have to give your full name, your date of birth, your residence, your occupation. You have to prove that you're a United States citizen, you have to show you are of good character, competency and integrity. And you have to demonstrate a real need for the weapon.
And thanks in part to our stricter gun control laws, crime is down dramatically in New York City. Shootings are down over 50 percent. Murder is down over 50 percent...
We need a federal law that bans all assault weapons, and if in fact you do need a handgun you should be subjected to at least the same restrictions -- and really stronger ones...

If this stands without a lot of fireworks, then they deserve to lose their ability to defend themselves. You are under the mistaken assumption that people WANT freedom. They don't. They'll comply with this like they have done with everything else. There might be one or two who will hole up and be marginalized as "kooks". Look for the Flying Monkeys to point out how "unreasonable" it is to be an "extremist" on issues like Rights and stuff...

Stupid words, indeed, and those rules need to be scrubbed. But FYI, note that he's referring to handguns. Long guns are a different story.

Since shotgun shell rounds can be obtained in sizes as short as 2 inchesGeez, I hope no one tells them about the inch and a quarter sabbotted rounds. :-/

Because. We're "civilized" and we don't do that kind of thing. Just because they'll KILL you to enforce their unConstitutional edicts is, apparently, not enough reason to kill them first.
Watch.... there won't be so much as a whimper over this one. Nor the next one. Nor the next. There might be angry phone calls or hastily scribbled letters to uncaring politicians. There might even be a mock trial or two in which if you dare mutter the word "Constitution" during testimony it will be cause enough for you to be held in "contempt of court".
And the abuses will continue...
Bank on it.

Unfortunately, you're right.
Other than a few words typed out on a website, there won't be so much as a token protest by the people of Cook County against this act of tyranny.
And in the incredibly far of chance someone does fight back, they will be gunned down in cold blood by the powers that be.

I know I'm right. We've even seen such an "appeasement" attitude right here on FR.
People don't want freedom. I'm certain of it. Those who do are seen as kooks, unappeasables, extremists, and dozens of other descriptions that don't mean a damn thing except to the sheep who mouth them thoughtlessly.
I'll not comply with another ban. No matter the cost. Easy for me to say as I live in Texas, but the sentiment stands.
