Since shotgun shell rounds can be obtained in sizes as short as 2 inchesGeez, I hope no one tells them about the inch and a quarter sabbotted rounds. :-/

Lots of shotguns will hold 6- 2 3/4 shells.
The old Winchester model 1897 comes to mind. It think every single shotgun designed to shoot the 3 1/2 inch mag will hold 6.
