Oh my! God bless you. That must have been so horrible for you. I can't imagine having to watch those people jumping to their deaths. I get vertigo standing on the porch, so it makes my stomach hurt to even think of anyone jumping from that height. It is a truism that tragedy changes one's point of view. It also makes us grow. Our comfort and prosperity in this country has made us soft. That is why so many are having problems with the WOT.
I'm a product of the Great Depression and WWII. We knew hard times and we are tough.

They are dead, killed by Nazis.I know their fate, I had hoped it was your lack of knowledge that accounted for the cavalier statements.

EVERYONE whom the Nazis went after/went to the concentration camps eventually, HAD TO WEAR PATCHES! A yellow star was for Jew, a pink triangle was for homosexual, there were other tags as well, for Commie, mental deficient, gypsy, etc.!
Ergo, telling someone that they should have to wear a patch, is telling them that they are equivalent to what the Nazis wanted "branded" and BTW, not just Nazies! Historically speaking, Jews in most European countries, over the centuries, were made to wear some sort of signifying patch or armband, or even clothing color. They were also forbidden to wear some kinds of clothing, as they were forbidden to be farmers and engage in other kinds of work.
To: narses
If you can't defeat them, join them. As long as they're not neocons.
Anyway, as I've stated on these threads, I'll will support the Republican nominee, whomever he/she may be.

:o) Hi Tx. We Conservatives are such rugged individualists we have trouble reaching a concensus on anything. That can be good personally, but it makes for the "herding cats" syndrome in politics.

That's NOT a vote; Bill Clinton.
To: My GOP
This should clear up the voting matter. The definition of vote is "to express one's preference for a candidate or for a measure or resolution through ballot or roll call".Actually signing the measure into law isn't a vote for the law? Oh yeah, George W. Nixon didn't vote for McCain/Feingold, the Supreme Court did.
