???
Nowak is a 43-year old 0-6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Slight difference!
I guessing Bad Conduct Discharge.
I worked shift work for many years. Five and a half working rotating shifts in the Air Force. Most of the time it was "four on and three off" rotating between days, swings and mids. Then in the private sector we usually had a straight shift but for several years I also rotated shifts. The midnight shift was always my favorite. In telecommunications a lot of work gets done when people are asleep and not using their phones.
Circadian rhythms exist but even cavemen had to be alert and awake for things in the dark of night.
Female Navy 0-6, 43 years old, married with 3 kids, tries to kill a chick young enough to be her daughter, who may or may not be doing it with a man old enough to be her father.
Ah the flier subculture is so embarrasing when it pops its ugly head into the light of day!
This chick was doing what generations of male military pilots have done regularly - having affairs while away from home (there's an old saying 'What goes TDY, stays TDY*') - but when confronted with a competing chick half her age, she cracked up, instead of doing the manly thing and moving on....
*TDY - Temporary Duty Assignment - you civvie pukes can think of it as a sort of a military 'business trip'....
I don't believe this other woman is a much "younger chick." I think some of the articles are saying that Colleen Shipman is an Air Force Captain stationed at Patrick AFB.
Only if jurisdiction is waived to the Navy and she's court-martialed (in which case it will be a BCD plus some time time in the 'big house'.)
If she's convicted by the civilians the military will do an Administrative Discharge, in which case she will get a UOTHC (Under Other Than Honorable Conditions) discharge - basically the same thing as a BCD, complete loss of benefits.....
Sounded like all business -- including long lousy flights in the back of cargo planes, little sleep and cold food.
I was, but you couldn't tell because I was wearing a wig.
I was a watchstander in the Navy with rotating hours and had a career in photofinishing on all shifts, too. I preferred graveyard. When fatigue sat in, I'd get a natural rush around five in the morning that carried me all day if necessary.
Having to get up in the morning on day shifts killed me. I'm just not a morning person and arranged most of my life to avoid it.
A Navy Captain (0-6) is the USAF equivalent of a Colonel (0-6).
An Air Force Cadet enters at, say 22, as a 2d LT (0-1), and within 4 years is promoted to USAF Captain (0-3). So she's at most in her mid to late 20s. When I read that she was a 2LT, I assumed her to be in her early 20s. We will wait and see.
Hope that clears it up.
First contact!
Never mind. Perhaps a 15-18 year difference in age.
No, I mean I think big chicken dinner means bad conduct discharge.
She looks out of this world!
Until she turned all space-cadet on us!
Like a Shriners' convention.
Yes, but you must understand that we are talking about 'rated' personnel here - flyers. Peter Pans who never grow up (well, at least many of them. I have known many AF pilots who were normal, but the proportion of 'carousers' was much higher than in the rest of the military.
Why? The culture - live for speed, excitement and thrills. I remember one USAF pilot court-martialed in the early 1990s for clandestinely videotaping himself having sex with a hundred different chicks all over the country. One of them found the tape and gave him up.
Wanna bet that he might have shared some of that footage with some of his squadron mates>
You rang?
(That young lady is in a heap-o-trouble)
wtf, redux
