Not that there was ever much doubt where Tim Russert aligns, but it was nice to get concrete confirmation on today's Meet the Press. Grilling John Edwards over his vote to authorize the war and his expression of support for it as late as 2004, Russert pointed out that Obama had staked out a firmly anti-Iraq war position before the conflict began.
Russert displayed a two-part graphic, which concluded with the words: "I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars."
Russert then shot at Edwards: "His judgment was on the money."

Aside: on two occasions, Edwards, in explaining his vote to authorize the war, said that he relied not merely on the information supplied at the time by the Bush administration, but had also consulted with former Clinton administration officials. They apparently confirmed the views expressed by the Bush administration. Translation: Hillary's folks are partly to blame too.

I figured that I would offend somebody but I decided to risk my credibility anyway. I would be surprised to find there isn't a Mute Minority Group after watching the spectacle of the deaf students at Gallaudet rejecting a University President because she wasn't 'deaf enough'.
And yet Tim, there are thousands opposed to dumb journalists, and we endure you..
I guess I just figured that Russert has been openly moonbat for a long time. His comment doesn't surprise me at all. MSM business as usual.
He's trying to appeal to people who viewed going to war with Iraq as simply "dumb." So, if they view it as "dumb" then they will feel aligned with Obama because he sums up their view perfectly. He knows bigger words than that.
Oh, shut up and buy some more energy effecient lightbulbs!
GE Taps Into Ecomagination
"Ecomagination is GE's commitment to address challenges such as the need for cleaner, more efficient sources of energy, reduced emissions and abundant sources of clean water," Immelt said. "And we plan to make money doing it. Increasingly for business, 'green' is green.

Obama was against the war in Iraq because,at the time it was launched, the intelligence community, the President and the congress thought Saddam had WMD and might pass them to Al Quaeda. Obama's opposition to the war must be seen in the context of his consistent opposition to ANY and ALL measures taken to protect America from Islamic terror. He would ALSO gut the Patriot Act and end NSA monitoring of communications between foreign terrorists and their contacts here. He would provide "due process" to the foreign terrorists detained in Guantanamo. He would end the highly effective "renditions" program. Incredibly. he would even cease careful monitoring of foreign Islamic applicants for US visitors' visas, a practice he has condemned as "profiling." If you want an America disarmed and naked before Islamic terror, Obama is your man. If the media ever tells the truth about his positions on the above and/or if his opponents ever find the courage to highlight them, he should be unelectable. Unless the country has, like Europe, lost the will to resist and survive.
Thanks, Didi - it's my - twisted - pleasure ;-
Has anyone asked Obama whether he thinks Truman's war in Korea was dumb? 30,000 Americans gave their lives in 30 months under Truman to wrest South Korea from domination by Kim il-Sung.
Russert . . . . . and Obama . . . . . . in the same sentence!!!
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
Today must be Vacuous Airhead day in America!!!!
Barack Hussein Obama is against 'dumb wars' eh?
Tell that to the millions of Iraqis and Kurds who are breathing free air and don't have to worry about whether or not Uday or Qusay are going to have their wives, mothers, sisters or daughters picked up and taken to Saddam-funded rape rooms, or members of their families fed live and feet first into those industrial shredding machines because they were perceived a threat to the Baathist curse that is no longer upon Iraq.
Obama is the lightest of lightweights, he has learned absolutely nothing, and is capable of comprehending only the leftist pablum that the Oprah-watching crowd chants on cue.
And Tim Russert is obviously his b!tch.
"Less than 3000 Americans were killed at Pearl Harbor on Sunday December 7, 1941, a day that we will soon forget. We must give Diplomacy a chance and find out why the Japanese hate us so!" FDR in a quick note to Congress explaining why we shouldn't start at Dumb War over a couple of battleships, and a few old planes.

No, thank you, Governs. Some of us just don't have the stomach for such things.
Read it and weep, Timmy.

Dumb? What a grasp this statesman has of the English language.
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
And obama's supposed to be "articulate". Dumb, dumber and dummest. Obama, Edwards, and Russert...the three stooges of dumness.
What stupid man. I hope he realizes that the only reason he is able to spew his anti-american message is because of the wonderful military who fought for him to say his very misguided crap.
