Kosovo Prime Minister Agim Ceku has warned Kosovo Serbs not to try to break away from the rest of the province out of anger at a draft UN plan that would set it on a path to independence from Serbia.
Ceku said no one was fully satisfied with the plan, which falls short of Kosovo Albanian demands for full sovereignty, but any bid by Serbs in the north to split the territory in two would not work.
"They have to understand that this is not 1991. They cannot do what the Croatian Serbs did," he told Reuters in an interview. "It is simply not going to work."
Backed by Belgrade, Serbs carved out a breakaway region in Croatia during its 1991-95 war for independence from Yugoslavia. The self-proclaimed Republic of Krajina was swept away in a Croatian military offensive in the last days of the war.
Ceku, an ethnic Albanian, fought in the Croatian army, before joining a 1998-99 Kosovo Albanian insurgency. A Serbian crackdown drew NATO into an 11-week bombing campaign to drive out Serb forces and the United Nations took control.
Serbs, who dominate a slice of northern Kosovo, have threatened to secede from the province if it wins independence from Serbia. The divide is so entrenched Ceku cannot safely visit the area.
"This document guarantees the territorial integrity of Kosovo, and the whole of Kosovo will be governed by the Kosovo institutions," he insisted.

Ceku's biggest fear is that a Serb might get out alive.

It's too bad they didn't kill the snaggle-toothed terrorist. Serbs really held back too much, quite the opposite of the deceitful mainstream propaganda which covers for or excuses the crimes against Serbs.

Ceku does not realize he does not have NATO and its air support backing them up this time. Their is no way in hell the KLA or what ever they are calling themselves this month can hold on to Kosovo. The will scatter like the wind if it came to a Serbian storm........

What I'm trying to understand is HOW you do not have the intellectual capacity to figure this out on your own (?).
Do you (really) need some help on this matter?

No I don't need help on this matter.
It was a question posted out of frustration...because even though I know it happens (a war criminal being taken seriously as a "leader" -case in point, Arafat) I am disgusted by it. I am even more disgusted that my country, the country I love and would give my life for, has allowed it in KosMet.

Anybody can watch this video at anytime and also learn about my old neighborhood :-) The Popovich Brothers were friends of my grandfather and used to play at his house on our Slava.

You might also want to check out Facets' site. They've got a pretty good selection of Serbian films with English subtitles.
