I'm not sure what his plan is. I would hope he isn't working for the Rats. I don't want to bash him or the people that support him, but I see no possible way he could get the Republican nomination. If he did I think the RATS would win in a landslide.
Before the primaries I would think straw polls of nothing but Republican activists would give a better idea of what his chances in the primary would be.
To win as a Republican you have to win the Republican voters in the red states and get the swing voters. Polls from dark blue states are meaningless IMHO.
Coming close or picking up 1-2 small blue states in the general doesn't help if you lose 7 big red states.
