Giuliani Filing Doesn't Say "Republican," Campaign Says Its No Mistake

New York, NY (AHN) - Former Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani may have ran the Big Apple as a Republican, but in his official papers as part of his possible presidential run, the section for the candidate's political party was left blank.

When confronted about the omission by a newspaper, a lawyer for the campaign says it was the team's "judgment that we didn't have to fill in that box," leading some to speculate that Giuliani may be considering leaving the GOP and running as an Independent.

Giuliani spokeswoman Katie Levinson dismisses such rumors, saying, "The mayor continues to be a proud member of the Republican Party, and we are extremely encouraged by the response from Republicans across the country to his potential run for president."

Also, upon further questioning by newspaper Newsday, the campaign says it fixed the omission, and has listed the former Mayor as a Republican.

However, according to the paper, that form couldn't be found on the Federal Election Commission Web site.

It does not matter, he won't get elected... he is in this to help Clinton...

Even HE, the RINO-rudster himself, realizes he can't LEGITIMATELY call himself a "republican" in good conscience.

Now, if there was just a "RINO" category, or perhaps a slot on the demonRAT ticket...

Strictly a theory: He fails to get the GOP nomination, but stays in as a third party, the Liberal Party, with whom he has previous connections. He then splits the leftist vote, giving the Presidency to the Conservative nominee of the GOP, Duncan Hunter.

If Rudy runs as an Independent I would not support him.

Maybe I missed something, but where does it say the campaign said it's "no mistake?"

perhaps it's one of those unnamed sources...

A dream scenario, especially if someone like "Bloomberg" gets involved as an Independent Party too.

Rudy has just hired the big guns of the GOP for his campaign. You can take it to the bank that the new form is on file. Some lawyer screwed up IMHO!

Here:

When confronted about the omission by a newspaper, a lawyer for the campaign says it was the team's "judgment that we didn't have to fill in that box," leading some to speculate that Giuliani may be considering leaving the GOP and running as an Independent.

But the lawyers, so used to lying, couldn't tell the truth with a gun to their heads...
