If he runs Ind. He would claim to be conservative except pro-abortion. He would fool enough voters to give Hildabeast the win with 43% of the vote.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

So this is the Giuliani plan to cow the RNC into further RINOdom. The guy is a stone cold Democrat as far as I'm concerned. His strategery confirms it.

Conservative voters will never vote for Rudi.

He needs to be turfed and smurfed.

I'm with you. If Giuliani recieved the nomination , I would stay home anmd not vote as many times as I can.

The Republican party must become congruent with the values of its members, or fail in 2008. After voting the straight Republican ticket since 1990,I will no longer support a party which abandons the America that we want to create for the future.

AARRGHHHHHHHH TWO YEARS OF THIS....

It will be less than two years. He'll be eliminated after the early primaries, aproximated 13 months from now.

The history of the last several decades suggests that running for president on an independent line is a sure recipe for losing.

Why should he worry about the Republican primaries when, at least for now, he is the leading candidate? It's still too early to say what will happen a year from now, but it would be politically stupid for him to declare himself an independent or suggest anything of the kind now, to say the least.

So with his history of cancer, why is he running now? He couldn't finish the race for a senate seat. But now we should elect him president?

I'm not sure what his plan is. I would hope he isn't working for the Rats. I don't want to bash him or the people that support him, but I see no possible way he could get the Republican nomination. If he did I think the RATS would win in a landslide.

Before the primaries I would think straw polls of nothing but Republican activists would give a better idea of what his chances in the primary would be.

To win as a Republican you have to win the Republican voters in the red states and get the swing voters. Polls from dark blue states are meaningless IMHO.

Coming close or picking up 1-2 small blue states in the general doesn't help if you lose 7 big red states.

I understand your point about "history," but I would suggest that running as an independent in a three-way race -- especially if it's against a weak Republican and a divisive Democrat with a lot of baggage -- might be his only chance at winning the White House.

I will. Remind me again what Republicans stand for? Please cite examples from the last two years of utter inaction and wasted opportunity.

He shows what a RINO he is. I have to laugh at those who constantly berate the conservatives who bolt because the candidates are so bad. But here's a bonafide fair-weather candidate who gets a free ride from a lot of freepers. If no one has used the term FRINO, they ought to start.

Basixcally the political philosophy of the moderate democrats is nop longer main stream democrat. The Dem party has veered far to the left. Witness the difficulty of Frauline Clinton. Free Riders like Giuliani are salivating at the chance to be able to inflame the moderate dem vote. However, they will find out that there is a substantial down site to their premature enthusiasm.

That is the desire for a Reaganite President. The only ones who even remotely resemble the gipper are Newt and Duncan Hunter. They and they alone are capable of uniting the Republican Party. But no one seems to be watching........yet.
