But...but.....but........

I thought she was unbeatable. I though we all had to get together and draft Joe Lieberman to run with Rudy to avoid her coronation!??!?!?!

Impossible!

Sorry, it's not outrageous for a Marxist to say what Hillary said. This is the essence of socialism and is the reason why socialism fails everywhere.

But it does not fail for the ruling elite who lives off the sweat of everybody else.

BTW the media reports that Hillary has "moved to the right." There is a big difference between moving to the right and moving toward the right. Hillary is not even moving toward the right, she is inching toward the right.

In 2004 Hillary had a conservative voting score of 0. Since that time she has moved to the right -- to a 9.

Hillary Clinton is, and always has been a dedicated Marxist no different than any communist in history.

Wall St is full of LibRats. Bond people tend to be a bit more conservative but not always. John Corzine ran the fixed income department at Goldman Sachs

Note to Hillary:
EXXON Mobil made over 35 BILLION (yes, with a "B") dollars profit last year (fine w/me BTW, I'm a shareholder). How much of that do you think they'll be willing to spend to keep you out of the White House if you keep threatening to take it away from them? Never piss off the oil companies. It's not real bright to start a fight with the guys whose product controls the economy (not just ours, the world's).

Perhaps her fees for her book and the proceeds could be the see investor to the fund she speaks of. Surely her Senatorial salary is sufficient for her to live on.

You bet. Let's focus on the $39.5B in profits and not mention the $25B already paid in taxes. Let's also not mention that this profit amounts to only 10% of revenue -- right in line percentage-wise with any other business.

Her comments show her true colors -- all money belongs to the State and can be taken away for whatever the State wants.

The fact that millions of retirees depend on those profits via pension funds, 401k's, and IRA accounts doesn't matter a whit. Nope. It's "obscene profits" that obviously benefits nobody but fat white males sitting around smoking cigars and eating caviar.

Hillary is playing to the "it is all about oil" crowd or the "blame it on Haliburton" crowd or the "hate big oil" crowd. Unfortunately, these crowds are numerous and include a number of posters on this forum.

DNC WInter Meeting: Hillary Clinton On The Stump
Standing ovations: 3

Used notes: Yes.

Introduced by: DNC treasurer Andy Tobias

Subtle Theme: I'm Hillary Clinton.

Overt Theme: I'm Hillary Clinton, and even though I'm in Congress, that's OK, because we're going to hold Pres. Bush to the fire. Also: I'm Hillary Clinton.

Bragging: "I'm Hillary Clinton." "I'm not here to today just to start a campaign." "I grew up in a middle class family in the middle of America." "If I had been president in October of 2002, I would not have started this war." "If we in Congress don't end this war by January of 2009, as president, I will." "I expect to busy in the White House in January of 2009." "Lifetime of experience and qualifications." "We can elect the first women president."

Playing to the crowd: Thanks the DNC members and state chairs. "Hello Democrats!" mentions "universal health care.:" Proposes putting oil company profits into a strategic energy fund. "I am not running for president to put band aids on our problems." "fighting for more than 35 years"
I know a thing or two about winning campaigns." "When our pary and our candidates are attacked, we have got to stand up and fight back."

Cliches: 'I'm in, I'm in to win." Becaue we need ot take our country back. We need to work together. Put the country "back on the right track." "Things are just not right." "We need to start standing up for the American worker again." "I want to renew that promise of America." "We're working to push this agenda forward."
"People are tired of politics as usual, with good reasons." "We may even be falling further and further behind."

Discordant note:: Voice climbed into a yell five times.

Uses of the word "affordable"

Howard Dean suck up: Thanks her "long-time friend" for "helping to lead the charge" in '06.

Self-deprecation: obligatory health care reference

Blooper: Mentioned "band aids," a trademarked curity strip brand, rather than "health strips."

Staffed by: Minyon Moore, Karen Keogh, Capricia Marshall, Mark Penn, Mandy Grunwald, Phil Singer

Boy this is going to make a great Conservative ad come '08

Yeah, an ad that would backfire big time. I'd guess that most Americans hate the "big oil" companies and wouldn't care if Hillary! took those profits - all of those profits.

Nobody ever tells the American people how little Exxon Mobil makes on a gallon of gas, compared to how much the government takes from them in taxes. Nobody ever tells the public how much in taxes Exxon Mobil already pays. Exxon Mobil itself has estimated that it paid $20 BILLION more in U.S. taxes over the past 5 years ($60 BILLION) than its U.S. net income (about $40 billion). (Imagine the fuss if Joe Sixpack were taxed at a 60%-75% rate)

You don't hear these things on television, and need to read to the end of newspaper articles to find these things out, if they even bother to mention it at all.
