Yet another "slams" in a headline. I've lost count today. Thesaurus alert!!!
I think the ads were made prior to Vista, so they are accurate for 99% of the windows machines in existance.
Gates can say what he wants to, but the ad with the PC guy in his hospital gown going in for a (Vista) check up is priceless!
I love those ads. I'm a graphic designer and therefor a Mac person, but my dad is always trying to convince me that Macs are useless and I need a PC (he has NO IDEA what my industry is about). I, in turn, love teasing him about how much Rush loves his Mac!
Now let me get this straight.
Mac has had about 2 viruses to contend with.
And Windows users have had a few thousand or so.
What universe is Bill Gates living in?
OSX runs on a very limited selection of proprietary hardware.
Windows runs on just about any generic hardware you can throw at it.
It's Windows that created a huge market for OEM hardware manufacturers.
Apple created a market for its own hardware.
Poor Bill. Came out with the ME version of XP and its already being cracked! Not a Mac user, but more and more it looks like a far superior system!
This reminds me of when Herman Goering said if any bombs dropped on Germany that you could call him Meyer. A boast he was soon to regret.
That's because they don't need to.
This is like Batman saying that he's smarter than Superman because he has the sense to incorporate kevlar armor into his costume.
Was he shuffling two steel balls in his hand while he rambled like this?
So who uses Safari anymore anyway?
On a related note, I LOVE those Mac commercials. I wanna bring that smug 20-something young man home for dinner. I love that he's so suble, so sympathetic to the poor Micro-man! It's just how I feel when discussing thier computer problems with my windows-using-sisters-who-won't-keep-their-kids-off-the-computer!
At a certain age, smugness rules!
Little Billy?
I think it's mostly Apple users at this point.
The stupid "Im a Mac" ads completely turned me off to that platform. For all the "superiority" that was supposed to be obvious, I was totally underwhelmed.
OH LAWL
Pot calling the kettle black? Excuse me, gotta run now. Time to visit Windows Updates and download another 50 MB of patches and fixes for this week.
Like...totally, dude!
Here's an old article as a refresher.

I think Apple has fixed most of the bugs announced, but that doesn't mean there aren't more out there. So please, enough of all this "Macs are superior" junk.
It's his own fault.
In Microsofts own propaganda for Vista, it came out with an online article on the msn web page, entitled Windows Vista: 15 Reasons to Switch. http://tech.msn.com/microsoft/article.aspx?cp-documentid=2664459>1=9013And guess what reason #1 is? It is more Mac-like.
1. It's the Interface, StupidSo, if Microsofts Number One reason for me to switch to Vista is that it is more Mac-like, why shouldnt I just skip all the hassle and the hype, drop a couple of extra bucks and save myself a bunch of time and buy a Mac?
Perhaps the best thing about Windows Vista is the most obvious: its new interface. With transparent animated windows that swoosh into place, subtle and elegant colors, a new Start menu, and plenty of other changes, this is the most beautiful version of Windows you've seen. If you've ever had Mac envy, this is the Windows you want--it's the most Mac-like interface yet.
Two pcs, six years running -- no issues with malware/viruses or security. The Mac ads are immature on all fronts. I suppose pcs require a dose of intelligence to healthily maintain... if that. Microsoft's comments are not out of line.
