What exactly does a noncitizen have to do to get deported around here?
I guess Peter Borat Berdovsky, native of Belarus, wont answer that because its not a hair question. And the Russky Rastaman is now officially a victim - a victim of Chernobyl, as his lawyer/foster father put it in court yesterday, before they went out outside to discuss his hair, which he doesnt appear to have washed since leaving his native Third World hellhole.
The subcontractor on the moronic Turner Broadcasting terror stunt arrived here as an exchange student, then sought asylum as a political refugee - stop me if youve heard this one before.
Borat is a refugee all right - from a Beavis and Butthead episode. Hes the full slacker package: Mass. College of Art, a goatee, dreadlocks - a self-described performance artist with his own crappy avant-garde rock band.

While the impact on law enforcement; inconvenience and aggravation of Boston's citizens; and the role of these free-lancers who were paid $300 each to place these devices around Boston is being covered by the press and tv, I think the impact on people without an electronic voice, namely senior citizens is being overlooked.
My 87 year old neighbor spent the day glued to the tv with her remote and telephone in her white-knuckled hands.
Not only should this moron be deported but Turner Broadcasting and the marketing company should pay for their behavior.

This guy is the poster child for the Noam Chomsky young--those who think terrorism is a joke, and pissing off authority figures (instead of creating something beautiful or thought-provoking) is the ultimate goal of art.
Such ratbags exist only because Americans their age or younger protect their right to be ratbags.
How proud this idiot must be. Hey, how about making some kind of statement against Muslim treatment of women, or PC attacks against free speech at Harvard? No, that might actually make some of your fellow unemployed jackoffs think, which would cause aneurisms.

Why should the people of Boston be mad? Didn't they overwhelmingly vote to pullllll outttttt nowwwwwwwww? Haven't their elected representatives come right out and said they think Bush has lied about the whole terror thingy? They should be mad that the police wasted their time responding at all.

'Aqua Teen' appeared in nine cities, only Boston panicked
"In this day and age, whenever anything remotely suspicious shows up, people get concerned - and that's good," King County sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said. "However, people don't need to be concerned about this. These are cartoon characters giving the finger."

That fool needs a good ass kicking followed by a swift deportation.
One must be a real special kind of stupid to put boxes with flashing lights, wires, and batteries attached in public places these days.
As I said on the related thread I want this thing followed right up to which ever corner office at Turner Broadcasting is responsible for signing off on this.

What's funny is how the LIBERALS on Craig's List and other lib watering holes are laughing about this, about how stupid Boston's officials were to jump on this.
Liberals truly do live in another world, one where they JUST KNOW everything. Why weren't these geniuses calling up the police and TV stations telling them it was just a false alarm?

King County sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said. "However, people don't need to be concerned about this. These are cartoon characters giving the finger." This sheriff's Sgt. needs to be relieved of his duties.
Improvised explosive devices have been hidden in childrens toys for Gods sake. A good number of American servicepersons have been killed or maimed by harmless looking devices and it's only a frigging matter of time before some very bad people get the bright idea to pull the same crap here.
I wonder what the good Sgt. will say if some innocent person gets their sh** scattered to the four winds by SpongeBob someday.
My money says he'll be unavailable for comment.

I thought the argument was that these cartoon figure things looked like they might be explosive devices - not that they looked deceptively harmless.

I thought the argument was that these cartoon figure things looked like they might be explosive devices - not that they looked deceptively harmless The argument works either way.
Either they looked like explosive devices, in which case the police acted properly, or they looked harmless but could have been explosive devices, in which case the police acted properly.
Ted Kazinski put bombs inside of bits of wood. Remember that? A person was nearly killed when he attempted to move what he thought was a bit of scrap lumber.
It turned out to be one of Teds early experiments and IIRC the victim was very seriously injured and lucky to not be mortally wounded.
The folks who dreamed this little 'publicity stunt' up are morons. The ones who they hired to place these devices are morons. They all deserve criminal charges, speedy trials, appropriate prison time, and in a just world a good old fashioned ass whooping.

With the liberal network of judges in Boston do you really think that this guy has a chance of being deported? Get real.

The hoax charges against the two morons probably won't stick. From the
Boston Globe:
As officials haggled over the details of the agreement, Berdovsky, a 27-year-old artist who lived in Arlington until recently, and his friend, Sean Stevens , 28, a self-employed computer consultant from Charlestown, appeared in Charlestown District Court, waving and smiling as they were each arraigned on a felony charge of placing a hoax device in a way that causes panic and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Both men pleaded not guilty and were released on $2,500 bail. If convicted, they face up to five years in prison on the hoax charge and six months for disorderly conduct.
In the legal community, there was disagreement whether the hoax charge was appropriate because it requires prosecutors to prove the men intended to cause fear. The judge, Paul K. Leary , pointed out that Berdovsky and Stevens say they intended only to participate in an advertising campaign.
"If what they intended to happen is for people to discover the devices and get publicity, then that's not going to be enough to get a conviction," said Boston University law professor David Rossman.
Prosecutors defended their actions. Assistant Attorney General John Grossman said bomb squad members who examined the lighted signs immediately detected three components that suggested the contraptions could be bombs. He said the black signs, about the size of a laptop computer, had what appeared to be a duct-tape wrapped package with a wire running into it and a power source, which would be needed to detonate a bomb.
"The devices looked like bombs " and had an "ominous nature," Grossman said.
Grossman indicated that the investigation is shifting toward the companies and individuals who hired the two men. "We are aware that these defendants are not at the top of the hierarchy here," he said.
