Bush channeling Democrats again (Boortz)
Nealz Nuze ^ | February 1, 2007 | Neal Boortz

Posted on 02/01/2007 4:50:20 PM PST by EveningStar

President Bush is sounding more and more like a liberal Democrat these days. He's out preaching about income inequality and the growing gap between the rich and the poor. And Bush is supposed to be a conservative? Between No Child Left Behind, expanding Medicare, raising the minimum wage and his guest worker program....and now this...one is wondering just how Bush is a Republican anymore...

I don't always agree with Neal, but he does make people think.

And just what Neal, did Bush say about that income equality? Did he say it was up to the gov't to regulate it or did he say that CEO salaries should be set by the BODs and be based on performance?

Neil knows that the republican party is dead and doesn't admit it. The time has come for a new political party for conservatives only.

The RINO's should be ejected by conservatives and we will gain our party back.

Yep, problem is we don't have any real leadership from ANYBODY. Until we get that the country will continue to sink.

He's simply discussing it, and it is rather good he brings it to the table. There's a wide gap between discussing this and asking for legislation that would alter it. Bush is sounding an alarm to the wealthy to make changes on their own or possibly face a future where the choice is taken from their control.

Lest anyone forget, there was such a disparity over a century ago, and it was used by liberals to win elective offices. If the gap is lessoned voluntarily it would negate this issue in the 2008 campaigns.

I'm not President Bush's greatest admirer by any stretch, but sounding a word of caution on the widening disparity is something a good leader would do.

It is the only hope for a free and safe America. Remove the RINOs, the globalists, the utopian one-world freaks, the anti-soverignty wonks, the liberal panderers, and the outright gutless country-club wimps, and we might actually find a few conseratives....

Boortz is more or less right, but I don't blame Bush for criticizing CEO salaries. It's not unconservative to do this. It violates pure libertarianism, but not sensible libertarianism.

Bush #1 did the same thing. Getting along with liberals means abandoning all class and conscience. Let us pray for our Union.

Apparently, that capital Bush "earned" after the 2004 elections was just Monopoly money.

Thank you. Finally somebody comprehended what Bush actually said.

Nice to read a rational post instead of knee-jerk reactions.

Yes, GW breaks the mold of the bigoted heartless and self-centered conservative stereo-type.

Which is a good thing.

He does huh. And who besides liberals see conservatives as as those nasty things above? By the way,if it's the liberals he's supposed to be impressing with his compassion I don't think it's working !!!
