More voters say they would be comfortable with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani as president than other top 2008 contenders, though majorities would also be comfortable with other leaders from both parties, according to the latest FOX News Poll. In addition, of all the 2008 hopefuls announced or frequently mentioned as a possibility voters want to hear more from one candidate specifically: Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.
Opinion Dynamics Corporation conducted the national telephone poll of 900 registered voters for FOX News from January 30 to January 31. The poll has a 3-point error margin.

Giuliani does not roll with the god squad.
"In 2004, white evangelical or born-again Christians made up a quarter of the electorate, and 78 percent of them voted Republican, according to exit polls."
By throwing out the God squad, you effectly alienate 25% of the voters and a majority or near majority of those that vote for Republicans. Are you sure this is the best we can do?

Here it is...
Dressed as Marilyn Monroe and performed "Happy birthday, Mr. President" at the Inner Circle dinner, where New York City journalists satirize city, state and national politics, then was joined by Julie Andrews, also in drag, on stage. (8 March 1997). Source: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0321320/bio

If Rudy is the nominee, staying home is a betrayal of our troops because it is an implicit vote for the "cut and run" democrats.
Is that what you are saying?

IIRC, it was an annual dinner for City political journalists. It was a big hit. Sheesh! This has been discussed repeatedly here...
Giuliani did not dress up for just one event. You all want to refer only to the Inner Circle event. He appeared in drag many times for various liberal and less liberal causes. The "charity" event I'm referring to was a fundraising appearance for the Empire State Pride Agenda - a radical gay group that advocates for gay marriage, gay adoption, and an openly gay military among other things. At the same even, he also agreed to appear in drag on the gay soft porn cable show "Queer as Folk" although I can find no reference to him actually making the appearance on that show despite the gay group raising the amount of money he asked them to raise before he would appear.

When America gets 24/7 of Hillary speeches on the news and they hear her voice for say 6 months, it will all be over for herDid you see her last Saturday on C-SPAN? She's been coached.
She was as sweet and fresh as an ingenue.
It's Hillary v. 1.5.

Are you sure this is the best we can do?Having an evangelical christian in the White House wasn't enough to bring them out to vote in 2006, and it wont be enough in 2008. It's not the religion that matters, its the person, and the performance.

Jim - I think you asked me about Vista on another thread yesterday and I didn't respond because I wasn't quite sure yet.
Let me just say this: The computer is returned (because of the Vista operating system). It was rolled out Tuesday and has a lot of bugs. The technicians I talked with said it's a sophisticated operating system and will be difficult (in its current format) for home users who have only medium computer experience.
I'm hoping by the time we absolutely have to have another computer the Vista bugs have been fixed.
My husband called Bell South on Tuesday and complained about our service. (I had called a few days earlier and been told it was our computer). Anyway, they sent out a technician and gave us a new modem and our old computer is running fine and is hooked back up. Asta lavista Vista.

And this is supposed to prove something? How many of those from the left who were included in the sampling would be comfortable with Rudy, but plan on voting for Hillary or Obama? That's the significant number.
To: finnman69
I hope you're right; I cannot believe she'd blow her one big chance.

That's not the point of the debate. The point of the debate is that Rudy is a liberal, who holds views in oppoisition to the majority of the Republican Party Platform And that is not truthful. I think I provided you a link the other night to the 2004 Republican Platform, your chart doesn't even begin to capture it in its entirety.

I think we're onto something. It's quite unseemly to watch grown men salivate over those pics.
I read on another thread that some very smart freeper (I've forgotten which one) mentioned that Newt's Contract With America didn't mention a single thing about social conservative issues!!!!! Imagine that?
