Too bad the social right doesn't have one single viable candidate.

Now that Hunter has been outed as a fiscal liberal it leaves you without a candidate.

It'd be nice if you posted something to back up your accusation that Duncan Hunter is not a fiscal conservative. I already know Rudy is not fiscal cosnervative. Just another run-of-the-mill NYCity liberal. Social conservatives have several viable candidates to choose from. We all know you support Rudy the liberal. That is your decision. I'm still as confident as ever, Rudy will NOT secure the GOP nomination.

Rudy is against gay marriage!! Secondly, gay marriage is a state issue, the President has no power over marriage. As far as strict constructionist go, Rudy says he supports strict constructionist without a litmus test, which is fair. Not all strict constructionist agree 100% of the time. Scalia and Thomas only agree about 90% of the time in the non-unanimous court decisions.

A choice between Socialist and Socialist-lite is no choice at all.
I will not vote for any candidate who is pro-death, pro-queer and anti-2nd amendment. Period.
Tax cuts mean nothing to me if it only serves to support a culture of death.

"It takes intelligence to discuss the issues. narses is just pasting the same thing over and over again."

Narses is intelligent enough to repeat very important info done from intelligent research, and hard work, and tell me who is a better debater than narses, as well.

Liberals or "moderates" only go after EFFECTIVE people, just like liberals went after Tom DeLay because he was EFFECTIVE.

Let's not be wimps, friends, and P-A-N-I-C-K. It's waaaaay too soon to feel that we have to settle for a liberal Republican candidate. Anyway, if a RINO runs agains the Dem candidate, the Dem candidate will WIN, because many conservatives will vote third party.

Good post Phil

Third party is a vote for Hillary

The same people voted for Hillary in 1992 & 1996

"Losing is winning!"

Yeah - That's the ticket!

Forty more years of democrat dominance, taxes, gun control laws, running from the enemy

I give up...:) :) :) the moment Rudy wins the nomination you will begin to see the end of the Christian influence in the Republican party,Eventually it will mean a third party that will only elect democrats in the long term. Also the Republican party and the Democrat party will not be much different.

If it feels good do it, will be the moto.

To say that Rudy is not for gay marriage is only semantics

Rudy was too scared to face Hillary in the last election. How will he stand up to Putin?

I disagree. Did you see the latest poll. It was posted on a thread yesterday. 76% of evangelicals have a favorable impression of Rudy and would accept him as President. That's not bad considering Bush got 78% of the evangelical vote in 2004. Listen, many understand he's not perfect but they understand he is our best shot to beat Hillary and if he becomes President he will be a great CiC at a time when we will need one with the WOT, Iran, Iraq, ect. He's also a fiscal and domestic conservative and I believe him when he says he will pick strict constructionist. Christians will continue to play a role in the Republican Party.

As far as gay marriage goes, again Rudy is against it. Besides, marriage is a state issue, the POTUS and NO influence over marriage. The POTUS has the same amount of influence over marriage as your local dog catcher does.

Why would Rudy run for the Senate last year just to turn around and run for President starting this year? That doesn't make much sense which is why he didn't run. I could have saw his campaign slogan now, "New Yorkers vote for me for the Senate, I pledge to only serve two years of the six year term and during those two years instead of working for you in the Senate I will be busy running for President". Nope, it makes much more sense to be doing this way. Besides, maybe he doesn't want to be a Senator anyways. Now as far as Putin goes, he leaves office in May 2008. He won't be President of Russia when the next President enters office.
