The Tarrance Group Joins Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee Team
Rudy 2008 Campaign ^ | 1 February 2007 | Press Spokesman

New York, Feb 1 -

The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Exploratory Committee announced today that Ed Goeas, Dave Sackett and Brian Tringali from The Tarrance Group, a prominent research and strategic consulting firm, are joining the committee as its pollsters.

Goeas and partners Sackett and Tringali currently also serve as pollster to five Republican Governors, ten U.S. Senators, and forty-two Republican Members of Congress.

“We’re thrilled The Tarrance Group has come on board and will lead our polling efforts. Ed Goeas, Dave Sackett and Brian Tringali are truly superior in their field, have stellar reputations and make an outstanding addition to our team,” said Brent Seaborn, Strategy Director to the Exploratory Committee.

Ed Goeas said, “Following an election where the question on many voters’ mind was ‘can Republicans govern,’ I am excited about working with a man that has such a strong record of conservative governance and leadership with results.”

Ed Goeas is President and CEO of The Tarrance Group. He is perhaps best known as the Republican pollster for the “Battleground Poll,” which, of the national public polls, has come the closest in three of the last four presidential elections in matching the actual election results. He has been widely published in professional and academic journals, including the Yale Law and Policy Review, on a variety of public policy issues based on his national research. In 1994, he was recognized by Democrat and Republican members of the American Association of Political Consultants as "Pollster of the Year.”

Dave Sackett has an extensive background in campaign strategy, political media and message development, and demographic targeting. He currently serves as the pollster and strategic consultant for over fifty Republican Governors, U.S. Senators, Members of Congress, and State leaders, and served as member of the Bush-Cheney ’04 polling team.

Brian Tringali has been a senior advisor to many successful statewide and congressional Republican campaigns throughout the country. During the 2004 presidential campaign, he conducted tracking in key Midwest states including Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio.

Hey Sharon;

I case you missed it USAToday has a new poll out tonight with Giuliani up by sixteen-points over McCain. Comparing apples to apples, Rudy was up four-points a month ago. Unlike some of the speculation it looks like the more they see and hear about Rudy -- the better he does. Take Care! Ed

Ed --

That is AWESOME! That is a huge jump!

You hear him speak in person and you are going to want him for President is what I keep hearing and exactly what happened when he spoke at the OU Winter Convocation the other year. People still remember it like yesterday.

Someone on here asked for my email because they had a friend that was supporting Rudy. I heard from him and now starting to get emails of people here in Oklahoma that want to volunteer for Rudy here. It is amazing when you start talking to people, how many people are starting to agree he is the best candidate to be President. It is GREAT!

Thanks for the info and keeping us posted! We will keep up the fight on here -- our ping list for Rudy has almost doubled in the last ten days.

Take care!

Sharon

Check out what the wonderful conservative warrior, R. Emmett Tyrrell has to say.

I hope and pray that Tyrrell is right, that all factions will come to their senses and unite in the end, around Rudy [or, I would add, whichever candidate gets the nod].

The 'logic' of those refusing to vote for Rudy:

Rudy is a too 'liberal' 'New Yorker' so they will place their de facto vote for missus clinton, a Stalinist New Yorker, albeit fake, (fake New Yorker, not fake Stalinist), who

It does the conservative cause no good to become petulant and self-destructive.

Do conservatives really want

I find it hard to believe that those people aren't able to discern the difference between Giuliani and clinton. Frankly, if true, it is frightening.

goto:
STALINIST RISING?
HILLARY CLINTON ABUSE OF POWER
(WHERE IS THE UNREDACTED BARRETT REPORT ANYWAY?)

I am advocating for Giuliani not because of his ideology. I am advocating for him because I believe he possesses the qualities that this country desperately needs in these perilous times... and because I believe he, unlike all of the others, will actually win.

The other night, I heard a man who is not perfect, but a man of rare intelligence, humility, warmth, competence, strength and leadership.

We will be fortunate, indeed, and our babies, born and unborn, living and not yet imagined, will be infinitely safer, if he is our next president.

Giuliani/Barbour?

How about Barbour/Hunter?

Then we can leave the gun-grabbing, abortion-supporting, northeastern-corridor inner-city liberal RINOs to what they do best...

Running a Draconian Nanny/Police-State in a liberal Blue-State "Peoples Republic" inner-city hell-hole.

It's February 2007. You might want to wait until about a week before the Iowa caucus before getting breathless over a worthless early all-in-the-name opinion poll. John Kerry was at 4% in December 2003, and did he not win the democrat primary? The cockyness this early is astounding, if Giuliani flops the impending meltdown of the Rudymites will be priceless.

Also are you Ed Goeas? As in Ed Goeas of the Terrance Group, Giuliani`s polling outfit? Do we really need more insider leftist Giuliani shills?

I think James Carville is available too. Rudy should snap him up before its too late. He is such a perfect fit.

Naw...... James' better half Mary will fill that role..... You see you have to cover the political water front, James to Hillary and Mary to Rudy. Heck who knows Newt may even jump on the bandwagon in some advisory role at a later date.

>>>>Also are you Ed Goeas?

I called him out earlier today on another thread. Ed`s probably busy creating some more double-talk slogans for his new employer, Rudy the liberal.

See this one yet, Ed:

Giuliani praised California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, calling him a "progressive leader" and adding, "I generally agree with Governor Schwarzenegger."
