That's exactly what they said about the relaxed CC regulations. ...and nothing came to pass.
How many times can they be blatantly proved wrong without showing at least a little embarrassment?
The murder rate in the old "wild west" was only a fraction of what it is in the east now.
It is also only a fraction now.
I live in Wyoming.
"Personally, I don't think this stands a snowball's chance in this state......"
You guys do have a lot of snowballs.
You are probably right. I see the police union is marching lockstep with their democrat masters. In my personal experience, except for wage and working condition matters, police unions did not represent the majority view of their members.
Ping for your MN list.....

Bias right in the headline...why can't it be both-safety AND license to shoot?
"... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one MAKES them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. ......just pass the the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted -- and you create a nation of law-breakers -- and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with."- p.411, Ayn Rand, ATLAS SHRUGGED, Signet Books, NY, 1957 "...
They've said that about every loosening of their hoplophobic idiocy. It's NEVER happened.
Further, historical research proves out that the "Wild West" really wasn't all that crime ridden where folks were noted for being "at all times armed". That is why we still remember that eras criminals. Because they were the aberration, not the norm.
To make matters worse, I'm moving back to MN for family reason come June/July. Living in Texas the last 7 years is going to make adjustment to MN's liberalism a bit hard to take.
"It enables them to protect themselves legally and it puts the onus on the criminal and the state to prove they were wrong."
This is the real essence of these bills.
