Gov Keating flirted with running for President and decided against it. Rudy and the Governor go back to their days in the Justice Department under Pres Reagan.

My prediction is that Rudy will win OK because of the ties to the State. T Boone Pickens doesn't back losers and he is one of Rudy's primary Texas fundraisers along with Tom Ricks owner of the TX Rangers who BTW are the parent club of the Oklahoma Redhawks AAA team.

Now that I think about it, Rudy is going to be fine in the Red States because they are also pro-military and the WOT as #1. In fact, with T. Boone and Ricks supporting Rudy, I think you are going to see more Bush donors come on board from States like mine and others. Someone like Frank Keating as VP would be great. Cathy Keating would also bring a lot to the ticket. She has so much energy! The two wives would be a real asset!

I wouldn't "poo poo" it, but have Italians consistly voted as a bloc? Would a shift in the voting patterns be that significant? (Again, not discounting it, I'm actually asking.)

How about coming up with a solution that does not include running a blue state liberal as the presidential nominee of a conservative party? If the man cannot even agree with our most basic platform positions, why run him? Sorry, I like Rudy for his 911 and pro America actions, but I cannot get enthused about supporting a presidential hopeful whose positions on family values and basic constitutional freedoms (RKBA) are identical to Hillary Clinton's and the godless evil Democrat Party.

You will probably get more answers then mine on this. He knew Alito and Roberts when he was a prosecutor, he thinks they are excellent appointments, strict constitutionalists is the way he would likely go. He's also said nice things about Ruth Bader maybe to be polite who knows but it didn't sound like he would appoint someone like her. I am sure he will address this further.

Newt, sad to say, is VERY damaged goods and has NO chance of beating Hillary or winning the GOP primary.

Living in Alaska, as you do, you have NO idea what the tri-state area is really like. You really shouldn't talk about things you don't know about.

"Source: Quinnipiac University Polling Institute Methodology: Telephone interviews to 1,310 registered Ohio voters, conducted from Jan. 16 to Jan. 22, 2006. Margin of error is 2.7 per cent."

So, Rudy would win in NJ and to prove that they polled 1,310 OHIO voters???

LMAO They are really stretching now for fake polls.

I'm thinking with Arnolds help he would also take CA. That would a crushing blow to the dim party.

McCain is unstable, old, and his cancer keeps reoccurring.

And those are his good points. McCain is a loser. Guliani would win.

I don't recall any other Italian ever winning the presidency, and as a first it would be unique, so I say factor it in. I know if my mom was still here should would slap me in the back of the head an say 'that Rudy hes a good boy you should vote for him'! LOL! Right out of the movies but its how it was in my family in Brooklyn!

My dad was an immigrant (a real legal one!) and came from a tiny island in the Mediterranean Sea. A more patriotic person you would be hard to find.

Rudy's liberal side may out poll the more conservative Republican hopefuls in big city bluestates, but it would be foolish to ignore or downplay conservative family values throughout redstate America

The election dynamics have changed. I think people are tired of politicians trying to preach morality. I'm not saying Republicans should walk away from it, but running on it solely while being big government in fiscal and national security matters is courting disaster.

If Rudy denounces his social liberal past then voting for him is a no-brainer. I get my moral values from my community, my church, and my family. I don't need to look to politicians for social conservatism.

I think that you really have something there; really I do! It's a fantastic strategy; beyond fantastic.

If Rudy gets the nomination, he has to pick a very Conservative running mate. He also has to have someone he knows and is comfortable with. Keating was a really good governor, has been a friend for a long time and both men know what terrorist bombings are like. What a team!

The "MONEY MEN" is a VERY important aspect, that too few people here even know about; let alone think about.

There should have been an evacuation plan for the World Trade Center after the attack several years previous to 9-11. The "isolate and deny entry" protocols for first responders were not followed in NYC on 9-11 like they were at the Pentagon.

A lot of people needlessly died in NYC because the standard emergency response protocols were not followed.

Leadership my eye...

War on terror? If Mecca was a smoking hole, there would be no Islamic terror and there would be no Islam either.

AND NOT A SINGLE WORD FROM JULIE-ANNIE ON THE ISSUES OF THE DAY WHILE THE PRESS AND THE LIBERALS SAVAGE THIS COUNTRY, LEAK SECRETS AND COMMIT TREASON.

Keating is a Catholic and a good one. You think that will bode well for Rudy when compared?
