A billion people could give up a ton a year for the next decade---or this bunch of rich, self-indulgent knuckleheads could tell their entourages, press agents, charter pilots, catering services, etc. to go find useful work, and then crawl under their beds and stay there. Comes out about the same.

It is our socialist "friends" China, Brazil, India, etc., that are the massive polluters. I heard yesterday that China is opening a new coal fired plant every 3 minutes.....hard to believe.

"A new worldwide movement backed by celebrities, musicians, politicians and business leaders is aiming to reverse the effects of global warming over the next decade."Ah, representatives of the cream of the crop in all the sciences. I'm sure these brave and enlightened individuals can tell us all we need to know about physics and geology and are well qualifited to shut off our heat and make us turn in our cars.

"I'm sure all these celebrities are going to give up their 20,000 sq foot mansions, limos, private planes, unnecessary travel, etc. to support this. They couldn't possibly expect the rest of us to ride bikes to work while they continue their opulent lifestyles"Yeah. Can't you just see them crossing the Atlantic in a dingy in order to get to one of their little soirees?

This article might be a lot of things (probably not), but it is certainly not breaking news.Hey, I had to check something. Here's some breaking news: it's snowing in the Metroplex as I look out my window.
A half inch of snow will often shut D/FW down.
I had my share of wintry weather while stationed in Germany. I'm a big proponent of global warming, thankyouverymuch.
