I'm thinking Feb so maybe we should compromise on March.

More worrisome is the fact that, with a satellite that size, you can also put a nuclear warhead in orbit, and have it descend to anywhere on the planet.

Or explode it to produce an EMP burst over the United States.

Combined operations with the Iraqi Army and U. S. Airpower.

U. S. Special ops and Ranger/Marine penetrations into Iran on a broad scale by airlift to destroy installations we deem as no longer needed by this nutjob

Tactical nukes on the Nuclear bunkers with no mercy.

There has been an undeclared state of war with Iran since 1979, IMO. They have sheltered Osama's family, which has been known for years. It has been known also that they have been aiding the enemy in Iraq (such as Sadr) for years. They stage rallies where "Death to America" is the refrain (and "Death to Israel"). They have been doing these rallies for DECADES. They are now working on nuclear weapons. We have had good cause to bomb them to Heck for years, if not decades. All I hear is talk of hope for revolution there. Time is running out George.

... I just remembered we have had Iranian "diplomats" caught videotaping targets in the US. There is plenty of evidence that they are due for a large scale strike (or thousand).

SCHUMER TO IRAN: COUGH UP SUBWAY VIDEOTAPE SUSPECTS FOR NYPD/FBI QUESTIONING

I wonder if Dan Rather is going to accuse the administration of faking documents?

There are some Senators...like Arlen Specter that are demanding that this evidence be made public.

Speaking as a Pennsylvanian, if Arlen wants it released, it should not be released.

Given that, there is some feeling that now may not be the best time for the U.S. to be making a public case against the Iranian leader without risking an anti-U-S backlash.

Where do these policy morons come from? Good grief!!! How stupid can you get? I say put it all out in front of the public so that there can be no mistake as to who the bad guys really are, and then let the chips fall where they may!

Tell me why we need to protect this info.....unless we need a convenient excuse to postpone finishing this war in this century!

That's about the size of it. The Administration is in no position to start another war. Although most Americans seem cognizant of the threat Iran poses, there's little popular support for doing anything about it.

All that releasing this information would do is to highlight how Iran pushes us around, while we are stuck sitting there and taking it. There's no point in weakening our hand further. Better to leave the threat alive, rather than dropping this kind of dime, and seeing no public outcry. Keeping the report under wraps, and keeping the fight against Iran in the shadows, may be the Admnistration's best option.

Someone please tell me again about the "adults" being in charge in the WH. If we aren't going to protect our troops then yes, pull out. Another war lost because we couldn't do what was needed.

It looks to me like the State Department is still running the country. Bush should wake up.

" presume there is a good reason to tease the media and delay the release of this report. Hopefully, it will come at a very propitious moment."

They are waiting for the RATS to bitch and moan to the NY Times as to why Bush is letting Iran off? Then Hillary can take a tough stance against Iran.

Bush will then announce the pullout of US troops from Iraq, via Iran.

I understand your point, and agree with it in the abstract. However, war depends on political antecedents. You need political backing to carry out the war.

It must be demonstrably shown to the world that the Iranians are agressive fascists intent on expanding the reach and frontiers of their state and ideology. Roosevelt tried to get us into war in WWII, but wasn't able to do so even after the Nazi conquest of France. Only Pearl Harbor and Hitler's stupid decision to declare war on us brought us into war against Germany.

Right now, Bush is in the right, but he does not enjoy the backing of the American people. To regain it, Iran must commit the Hostile Act against us.

The Iranians will do something unbelievably stupid. Count on it. Fanatics always do. Ahmadhi-Nejad and the Revolutionary Guards around him almost certainly believe their own propaganda about us.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Thanks for the ping and info. Just a matter of time before we are openly at war with Iran.

"...I'm thinking Feb so maybe we should compromise on March..."

Ummm, well, OK, but if it starts tomorrow, it'll be OK with me.

We simply cannot wait while the enemy grows stronger. All the stuff's in place! All we gotta do is drop the flag - maybe the Daytona 500! ............ FRegards
