Just in from Marianna, Fl. Sheriff's wife and deputy killed...
My prayers for all the families of the victims.
How very sad.
Prayers for the victim's families, friends and investigating leos.
Most likely not a random burglary but a attempted drug hit......
Florida Sheriff's are under constant threat and danger from the drug lords to the street pusher....Several armed perps.....early evening burglary?....not the typical burglary MO....
Spent several years attending the Florida Sheriffs convention for my company....my wife and kids would come to the show as well since it is always held in a great resort hotel....
My kids would go with the different Sheriffs kids and their senior staff kids to different amusement parks and attractions....They were always loaded on a charted bus with Swat team members and full escort. Each kid was always ID banded on their wrist.
The reason for this was the kids (in a group) were essentially the perfect target for law enforcement enemies.......
Prayers for the Sheriff, Deputy and their families.....
It's too bad that the wife didn't enter the property with her gun ready to shoot. If the sheriffs are in such danger, it would follow that their familes are, too. They should make a habit of never entering their homes without their guns at the ready!
Pretty ballsy for a hit.....
Watch all Law Enforcement from the Feds to local PD jump on this one.......
This one will not go unavenged......
Good grief are you saying they and their families are being targeted? What next, as I scratch my head.
The Barbarians are at the gates.
We won't need conservatives much longer as there will be nothing left to save.
Please ping with any updates. Thank you
Hope this ends under the headline "another cop killer dies in a hail of gunfire, hundreds of rounds bring him down"
Traitor "Journalist": "Why were 150 rounds fired ?"
LE Spokesman: " I can only speculate the officers ran out of ammo".
This is a horrific event.
Update:
Says Sheriff's wife and deputy not deceased.
>>>START STORY>>>
Several shots were fired at the home of Jackson County Sheriff, John McDaniel. It happened shortly after 5:00 Tuesday evening. Sheriff McDaniel lives on Highway 73 in Marianna.
Joe Grammer with the State Attorney's Office for the 14th Judicial Circuit says 2 suspects were shot to death by officers. Sheriff McDaniel's wife and a Jackson County Deputy are being transported to a hospital in Dothan, Alabama with life-threatening injuries.
Grammer says officers from several agencies are on scene searching to see if there are any more suspects at McDaniel's home.
The State Attorney, Steve Meadows, and an investigator with his office are at the Sheriff's home.
The Bay County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation. Bay County Sheriff Frank McKiethen, the SWAT team, dogs and helicopter are at the crime scene.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the Washington County Sheriff's Office, and the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office are there as well.
The State Attorney's Office along with the FDLE will be holding a news conference at 9:00 p.m.
We will have more details as they become available.

4 Dead, including Sheriff's Wife, in Home Burglary in Marianna
That story contradicts the previous one, with this important item:
"Sheriff McDaniel's wife and a Jackson County Deputy are being transported to a hospital in Dothan, Alabama with life-threatening injuries."
Who knows which one is accurate, at this point.
I'm holding out hope that both are still alive. WMBB seems to think so too.
Particularly Florida Sheriffs....
The bulk of South American drugs come through their territories......
