"No. Most women feel relief after an abortion," Cullins responded.

"For more than 20 years, most scientific studies have found that emotional reactions to having abortion are relatively positive," Cullins explains.

I'm sure that Satan has been saying pretty much the same thing ever since the Garden of Eden.

"But anti-choice extremists make false claims about this."

Anti-choice...interesting how they describe pro life people. But, sadly, it works I suppose.

Most women probably do feel relief right after their abortions.

Then the baby they killed starts to haunt them. Their conscious thought may find them innocent, but their conscience tells them they murdered their child.
Later when they wish to have a child they think of the one they murdered. Perhaps the one they murdered was healthy and the one they bear now isnt, they start to believe this is punishment. The mind plays funny tricks.

Saying that there are no ill effects from abortion is a lie.
In most cases where the mother is human and not a born killer to begin with there will be times of conscience.

Check the first link in my post.

Abortion is not about saving women’s lives!

Studies Find Abortions Have Long-Term Effects

45,951,133

Total Abortions since 1973

------------------------------------------------------------

Why the drop after 1960? (in deaths of women from illegal abortions)

The reasons were new and better antibiotics, better surgery and the establishment of intensive care units in hospitals. This was in the face of a rising population. Between 1967 and 1970 sixteen states legalized abortion. In most it was limited, only for rape, incest and severe fetal handicap (life of mother was legal in all states). There were two big exceptions — California in 1967, and New York in 1970 allowed abortion on demand. Now look at the chart carefully.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Abortion Statistics - Decision to Have an Abortion (U.S.)

· 25.5% of women deciding to have an abortion want to postpone childbearing

· 21.3% of women cannot afford a baby

· 14.1% of women have a relationship issue or their partner does not want a child

· 12.2% of women are too young (their parents or others object to the pregnancy)

· 10.8% of women feel a child will disrupt their education or career

· 7.9% of women want no (more) children

· 3.3% of women have an abortion due to a risk to fetal health

2.8% of women have an abortion due to a risk to maternal health

----------------------------------------------------------------------

So how many women’s lives have been saved by abortion?

Only about 3% of abortions since 1972 were reported to be “due to a risk to maternal health.” A reasonable person would recognize that not all of those cases represent a lethal risk. But let’s say they did. That means that nearly 45 million fetuses were butchered to save the lives of about 1.3 million women. Or put another way; 35 babies are killed to save each woman.

Abortion was legal in all 50 states prior to Roe v. Wade in cases of danger to the life of the woman.

**Abortion's Mental Health Risks**

Very few women understand what abortion does to them. I have listened to some of these women. So sad........

Tiller the Killer performs more than 400 late term abortions a year, some are because the mother is depressed.

Yeah, kill her baby. That's solve her depression.

Planned Parenthood always tries to hide the truth from women who come in for abortions. They fight tooth and nail against any effort to require them to share information with women on fetal development. They know that if they do, women will realize that there's a baby inside them, not a 'bunch of cells'.

There was a big cover story in the New York Times Magazine January 21. It of course had the New York Times pro-death slant, despite some strenuous attempts to muffle it.

I do agree with Koop, however, quoted in the piece (I think it was he) as saying the focus should be kept on the babies. That is the true evil. A little depression is nothing compared with the loss of life.

Some treatment was given to the religious and nonreligious, pro-life and pro-abort postabortion counseling. I found some of the techniques a little sick: picking out baby shoes, holding dolls, giving the aborted child a name--especially when these techniques are used by pro-abort counselors.

The author's summing up of the religious healing that many women have found: You can't repent a depression, but you can repent an abortion, and wait to meet your perfect baby in heaven. In other words, it gives them a phony issue to focus on. Good for her for coming up to our expectations and being unsurprisingly blind to the quite real power of the Lord and repentance.

Tabi and Julie: will bring this thing on Sunday.

Classic Pro-choice bullshit from Cullins. EVERY woman I have ever known who has had an abortion (and usually before the age of 23) has suffered greatly because of it. Anyone woman with a soul will struggle with what she did for the rest of her life. Usually way more than the "man" responsible for his part in it will. No wonder all those Lefty politicos like Bill Clinton embrace "woman's right to choose" so warmly:
it's a win-win situation for him: he looks like a hero to the Nina Burleigh*'s of the world, while preserving his ace-in-the-hole of making abortion E-Z for the scores of
women "friendly acquaintances" of his who he made sure needed one.

* Nina Burleigh---lefty female "journalist" who during the reign of Bubba, conjured the awful scenario that women, to show their adoration of Bubba for his devotion to "preserve" abortion rights, should be willing to get down on their knees and service him.
(Uhhhhh, Nina---that's just what HE had in mind, too.)

In a statement released Tuesday by PPFA medical director Vanessa Cullins, the abortion business claims there are no emotional or psychological concerns.
