In Philadelphia the ratio of Dems to Reps is 4 to 1. It is not worth running anyone that is not Democrat. Maybe the solution is to choose a party of convenience much like Bloomberg did in New York.

This is horrible, but if they are so powerful,as it seems they are,how can anyone can beat them?

It's like trying to beat the Nazis. Takes lots of effort and the commitment of lots of people behind you. I'm afraid our side doesn't have what it takes right now.

So they ruled that the relief pilot intentionally crashed the plane for reasons unknown. As I remember, it was initially reported that there were about 30 fairly senior Egyptian army officers aboard flight 990. They had been participating in a joint U.S./Egyptian military training program and boarded the aircraft at Nellis AFB, NV. The aircraft departed LAX, stopped at Nellis AFB then proceeded to JFK where the rest of the passengers boarded. Later accounts did not mention the details about the Egyptian army officers which led me to theorize that they might have been the reason that the flight was targeted.

[That is true, but it is Pennsylvania voters that did the deed.]
The brilliant folks of PA got rid of Weldon and Santorum.

So you're comfortable with Richard Clarke's theory of spontaneous combustion? The only other known instances of which having occurred in terrorist hotbeds Thailand and the Philippines?
I guess you just prefer a different brand of tinfoil.

Our side is as weak and as divided as it's ever been. We're in a heap of trouble.

'There was another aircraft that went down in the north east, with some Egyptian pilot chanting Allah Akbar.....as he ditched the plane. It was explained as a simple suicide. Did that plane go down before flight 800?'
I have been wondering about that and why we never heard anything else about it after 9-11... It seemed to me that it was probably more than a suicide in light of those events.

Yeah, it's a tight little World in Washington, D.C. People cover for each other, because they don't want to lose their positions of power and wealth.
Sandy Berger worked for Hogan & Hartson as the lawyer/lobbyist for trade with China. That's before he became National Security Advisor, a job for which he had no obvious qualifications.

Alleging a need to act quickly because of the leak, the FBI raided the homes of Weldon's daughter and a friend on Monday, Oct. 16. By noon of that same day, a group of nearly 20 Democrat protesters were milling outside Weldon's district office in Upper Darby, carrying matching signs that read "Caught Red-Handed." The story received a great deal of unreflective attention from a media desperate for a Democrat win, and Weldon went down to defeat.
The move against Weldon was naturally attributed to the Bush Justice Department. As the Berger case proved, however, there are powerful forces operating in the Justice Department and FBI that seem to have no greater goal than protecting the Clinton legacy and advancing the Democrat agenda. The idea that Karl Rove somehow orchestrated the Weldon hit makes sense only in the nether reaches of the liberal blogosphere.
This is an interesting article. Nevertheless, I would like to know how an FBI raid on a sitting Congressman's office goes off without the approval of *someone* in the Bush justice department.
Personally, I think the Bush admin--or at least *someone* within the administration--found Weldon to be "inconvenient". Same with Rick Santorum, which would explain why they put him out on a limb with that June 2006 press conference about WMDs--and then sawed off the limb.

He's correct, however, about the Clintonistas trying to cover their pre-9/11 tracks. They all sang the same tune at the 9/11 Commission hearings. And how does one explain the campaign against Weldon - engineered by members of the Clinton National Security Council? I'm merely stating the obvious, which the MSM will never deal with.
