Fox News just announced that a major battle is happening right now, sources in Iraq say that at least 250 gunmen have been killed by Iraqi and American forces!
I also thought they said something about the fight occurring near a downed helicoptor. In Nijaf??
Good sounds like a good start
BUMP!
While the "leadership" is hunkered down in Iran, the rank and file is being slaughtered. This is good, but we need to go after those in Iran as well. No more restricted warfare. Gloves off now.
This is such a "duh" response. I have no military training whatsoever and I can see it. I don't know you, but you can see it.
I'm no big war hawk, I'm not one of the so-called "neo-cons" who have been painted by liberals as lamenting "What good's a military if you can't use it?", but this is just so D@#$@#$@#$ obvious to me, and clearly to you, too.
That would certainly be a major battle, all right. 250 killed sounds like an entire "militia" is participating. Stand by for the usual wailing about the "holy" city of Najaf but I'm thinking the gloves are off at last. High time.
I just wish they could have done this from the start and saved about a thousand American lives from the pussyfooting. May God protect our brave men and women on the front lines.
Well, I hope this is a decoy downed chopper, meant to draw out the militia for the purpose of killing or capturing them.
I was thinking the same ting as I was scrolling down through the messages.
Prayers and best wishes to our armed forces.
Patience, grasshopper.
Dead jihadis bump
Ain't obvious to me. Iran requires serious attention -- but a war isn't something to enter lightly. Better to collapse them internally ... and I get the feeling that's starting to happen.
GOOD. I'm sick of hearing crap from Biden.
"I'm not one of the so-called "neo-cons" who have been painted by liberals as lamenting "What good's a military if you can't use it?","
I was (am?) one of the naive neo-cons who thought humans were wired to desire freedom. My bad. That said, the quote you are using was uttered by the Clinton White House, not nec-cons.
You don't always have a choice about deciding to enter a war. Sometimes the war comes to you. Previously, the US approach was like a flock of sheep. The wolves killed some sheep every year around the edges of the herd, but not too many. Then on 9/11, the wolves tore into the center of the herd and killed thousands.
You can choose to not enter the war, but the wolves aren't going to stop killing no matter how many sheep are sacrificed. This isn't the kind of enemy that you can walk away from. If you ignore him, he'll follow you home and kill you, your spouse, and your children.
Whew. There for a minute I thought you were talking to me. Try hardastarboard.
We are in agreement. Please read my statement again.
